I had some weird computer problem (main page was just a black screen), so I had to completely restarts my computer. This deleted everything like it should. I went and redownloadeditunes, and logged in to my account to find that none of my music or movies could be found. My ipod is only 4gb so i had to leave a few TV shows and movies in the account because they wouldn't all fit.

If i plug in my Ipod will it transfer the music and videos, or will it just delete them and give me the stupid sample music?

An Ipod is like a USB drive or external hard drive. It shouldnt delete anything unless you command your operating system to do so.

In windows just tell windows to show hidden files, and look at your ipod. You will see hidden folders for all your files on your ipod. You may need to tell the ipod to mount on your desktop, but you can do that in itunes

I don't think that you can take the music off of your ipod easily. Google it, there is a way that i have seen to take the music off of the ipod into the library. Is that what you mean?
