This is a Japanese anime from the 1990s, in which there are three robots -- green (wind element), blue (water element), and red (earth element). They transform into, oddly, full-sized heads. Halfway into the series, each were "reborn" into a powered-up version of themselves. The red one became more white than red. To call for their robots, the kid pilots used: 1) Bow and arrow (for the green robot) 2) Spinning top on water (for the blue robot) 3) And a disc that comes out of a gun (for the red robot) Each of these things made a pentagram on the water, and their robots rise out from it. Also, the pilot of the blue robot had rabbit ears he conceals. Can anyone help identifying what this series is?
According to Google, it sounds like Cybaster. http://www.volks.co.jp/jp/srw_og/cybaster_af/index_cybaster_af.aspx
I can't believe nobody answered this question. The name of the series is Granzort (I think the full name is Mighty King Granzort). Granzort is the red robot activated by shooting the disk from a gun on a large flat surface, not water. Water is used by the beyblader kid with rabbit ears to activate his robot (can't remember the names of the other two robots besides Granzort), and the third is robot is activated by shooting the arrow from a special bow into the sky.
I don't know the name of the series, but I used to watch the anime and had the models of the toys, they were way cool. Surfing some of the japanese message boards lately and I think they are poised for a comeback, if I see more pics I'll post them
Like I said before, they were all Gundam like model kits that you put together, I've never seen a ready made toy version of it, but if the series is making a comeback due the the nostalgia craze, they might make the toys this time
