hey i need to fix some problems with a paint job? but to do so i am needing to strip the paint off the figure i was wondering if their is any one who can give me a safe idea on how to do it?

i use acrylic paints, so i thought about soaking the part i need to strip in hot water with a little bit of soap but would that work?

or is their a dissolving agent out their for acrylic paint?

any help would be great :3
