I preordered Elvira right away through the first link I coukd find, which was Entertainment Earth, so not only will this be my first NECA purchase, but my first purchase from EE as well. Here's knocking on wood about the what I keep hearing about NECA's QC since I'm not as familiar with EE's exchange policy compared to BBTS.
BBTS is up. That's where I ordered her. And they've gotten better with the QC on new stuff. The only thing I've had problems with is, the DC moulds.
That looks like a soft-goods dress...kinda intrigued by the possibilities here...haha. My experience with NECA figs has been decent overall, but you do need to be careful with them. If you take her out of the box, I recommend running her under hot tap water for a hot minute before trying to move the joints...then proceed gently.
Finally got the new Jason: But holy shit, I didn't realize he was $35 until I got home. God damn NECA is starting to get greedy. Every other Jason was $27. Anyway, he may be the best Jason figure to date. My only nitpick is the rubber on the lower leg at the knee is constantly rubbing against the upper leg so I worry it is going to wear out quickly. Not sure why we need another machete and knife, but it's cool as the weed whacker is freaking amazing. As is the one spear-like slice slice thingajig. Sadly, no Goliath at Target.
Finally. Damn. I've been waiting on this forever it seems. My favorite easily. Just need Manhattan and we're done. Hope that can happen.
Im not real sure how Target and Neca price shit. Jason was $32.99 at my Target. Random prices. Its the larger Mego'ish line.
I'll probably pick up a Manhattan figure, but at this point I'm satisfied. I've got the five Jasons I care about (2, 3, 4, 6, 7). I wish they would reissue that Camp Crystal Lake dock display they did a few years back. I never got the chance to get it and now it's like outrageously overpriced on the secondary market. Or hell, do a campgrounds diorama set like the building they've done.
I would love some diorama stuff from the franchise for sure. I have the sign from the dock set but the person that gave it to me lost the rest of the set. It makes me really want more.
I was not prepared for how small the Puppet Master figures are. I knew they were small but, pictures didnt really prepare my brain for scale. I still hope for the 8 inch clothed. Yeah I love the Puppet Master figures and hope to see more. The size doesn’t even bother me because of how personality and range I can get out of them. Personally I’d rather see a Toulon’s Revenge Toulon and I feel that is the one they’ll go for too. I can see at least two more 2-packs: Jester & Six Shooter (my favorite Puppets so I really want them) Decapitron & Leech Lady (considering whose souls are suppose to be in them it makes the most sense) Meanwhile I got an email from BBTS saying they’ll be getting in my preorder for Part 7 Jason soon. FINALLY. This is one of those figures that won’t be coming to Ohio retail and I’ve been saving a spot on my horror shelf since I moved two weeks ago.
What part of Ohio do you live in? I’ve seen that Jason quite a few times in the Cincy area. Keep your eyes peeled in case BBTS fails you or sends you a jacked up copy!
I lived in Athens but moved to Columbus. The Walmarts in Athens, Logan, & Reynoldsburg only sold Part 2 Jason who I've had for a few years now (I refuse to go anywhere near the Easton Walmart). The Targets here in Easton and Polaris don't have a single Jason, though I was lucky in getting Chromedome & the last two Frogs I needed from the TMNT line. Besides I've used BBTS for all my other horror movie NECA purchases and haven't had a single problem. If retailers refuse to stock their shelves then my money will always go to the more reliable online retailers, who will always eventually get it verses physical stores who may or may not get them.
Oh, I’m with you. I’d rather get my stuff from BBTS as well. I was just thinking about possible NECA QC gremlins that might pop up. On the other hand, I’m thinking BBTS will probably have extras of this guy available for at least a little while, so, if you get a bum copy from them you probably won’t have trouble getting him swapped out.
Don't worry, they can sell you the next version with retracted wings then a third with the wings draped over his shoulders in the years to come. Probably an SDCC exclusive.
I was under the impression the wings were going to be hinged, so I never paid much attention to reviews only to find out they weren't yesterday. Plus, they are extremely fragile feeling. I'm going to have to store my Goliath back in his box until I can figure something out since he won't fit on a Detolf shelf.
