I see some "cheap" auctions on ebay for $130 but it's overseas. I could probably get the 4 for $160 at a local shop if I barter. Not sure how much the shop's willing to bend there though. I feel like that range is reasonable. Are they worth more or less?
Is it more accurate to what was one screen though? I've been debating which I want to go with. As for price, odd, as my Target sells them for like $28.
I've been collecting Godzilla figures, especially the Showa era, for quite a long time. The Toho Kong is an interesting topic. There are very few official releases and they're not exactly good. Well for the time they were ok, but they haven't aged too well. Because they're so few they're also pretty expensive. I'd buy any new Toho King in a heart beat. It's such a unique looking beast. We've seen lots of Toho "flexibility" recently, which is shocking if you've been paying attention long term. I'm personally surprised by the amount of Kong product we're seeing on shelves. If there's a window for Toho Kong, we're probably closer to it now than we've ever been.
If those overseas auctions are from China, there’s a chance they are bootleg figures. If you can find a set of 4 domestically for $160 and are happy with that price, I’d say go for it. They’ve been reissued a couple times at Walmart at this point, and I don’t know how long it will be before they get reissued again (not that you’d be likely to ever see them in-store anyway…haha).
Randy still owes us an Ultimate Wolf Pred, so the Flying Alien Queen still might not be done for quite some time. It's the stuff from Predator 2 (I believe Lost Tribe yautijas?) that's being done and it's repaints of existing ones that has been done previously.
Wolf is all I need to be done with AvP Preds, well I could prob go for the pillars and throne being re-released as well
Got a question as I've never bought Neca before and the Gargoyles line will be my first foray into the company: Is Neca pretty good about hitting pre-order dates like SHF and Hasbro are, or are they more like Mafex and Mezco where you're pretty much guaranteed to get things later than advertised?
They seem to like to surprise us one direction or the other. They have been late on most things the past year or so it seems. But, I think a lot/most of it has been COVID related. Their TMNT stuff I preordered from GameStop in years past always seemed to show up right on time. Most/all of the TMNT stuff I have ordered since the bug began has been months late. But, I also preordered some BTTF stuff during that same timeframe that seemed to show up close to the expected date. TL/DR: It might show up on time…but be prepared for delays.
Lately it's been slow unless it's something that's just surprisingly showed up at Target/Wal-marts like The Thing or colored Frankenstein. My original Goliath order said July, I would bet it will get to stores this month and then get in people's hands in September more realistically.
Its not accurate to on-screen, but it's awesome. I have the Big Chap ultimate, and I like Giger version better. If you've own neither, get the Big Chap ultimate, and wait for Giger prices to come down
So where is our Predator 2 Danny Glover? That is what I want to know! ... I’d take the rest of Dutch’s crew as well! Jesse The Body ... come on man! Billy or Mac ... you’re sleeping NECA!
I saw the Pred 2 Battle Damaged yesterday in hand, sincerely it disappointed me. For being an "ultimate" I think it has poor accessories.
