I just saw the BTTF DeLorean at Target and to be honest I know it's all diecast but the Playmobil and the Hollywood rides looks better and they light up and one is $20 and the other is $40 the Neca is $50.
NECA made 7-inch Batman 1989 figures several years ago. They were available at Toys R Us and came on throwback ToyBiz cards. NECA also did one as part of their video game line, in purple and blue.
Those were only able to be done because they were recolors, I think the regular color one was in a special set too. NECA responded to someone on Twitter that these Batman figures are not happening in smaller scale.
Local Target only had radiation suit Marty. That and the smaller less articulated Back to the Future figures.
The purple and blue video game Batman was NECA's first figure of the Michael Keaton Batman, and was originally going to be the only one they made. They were then able to make a regular 7-inch 1989 Batman which was technically only supposed to be available with a purchase of the blu-ray of the 1989 movie, although you could just ask an employee to get one without buying the movie.
Other than the repaint of the rhino alien, are we getting more Kenner tributes? I previously picked up the Snake and Scorpion but lately I’ve been scooping up a lot of Aliens/Predators and just got the Rhino alien and 6 different predators. Between these and TMNT, Neca is getting a lot of my money this year.
My Target was freshly stocked today with Neca items. New Turtles 2 pack, Biff and Marty BTTF figures as well as the Delorean. Also a stuffed Delorean. Also a restock of the Holiday Gremlins.
Ive broken both neck hoses. Articulation is very limited and it feels like it's made out of egg shells. The rifle also flops around in his hand like a fish. I struggle to think how much better it could be, though. You aren't going to do any poses with it.
I bought two of those. The arm snapped right off of the first one...exchanged it...second one is intact. And yes...they look and feel kinda shitty. I can appreciate their attempt at incorporating the hoses and working pistons and stuff, but they hinder more than anything. Plus, the wrists and ankles suck. They deserve a redo...
I thought I was good on Neca Predators for the time being but walked into my Walmart which usually does not carry Neca figures to see an Ultimate Jungle Hunter on the shelf. It’s my ninth Neca Predator this month so far. I may have a problem.
Surprisingly, Target’s app actually has some neca items that pop up and can be used for their $10 off $50 or $25 off $100 sale... just thought I’d share in case others wanted to take advantage. While I’m not able to see/get particular items I’m interested in, I’ve made quite a few purchases to squeak me over the $100 mark. One of the few times I appreciate neca’s 2-packs being a little over $50. We’ll see if this later estimated delivery date is just buying time for them to eventually cancel it.
