The Warriors pretty much hit the massive reset button and still somehow managed to keep Steph, Klay and Draymond. And then added D'Angelo Russell and Willie Cauley Stein. I mean, it could've been a REALLY bad dismantling of the team yet somehow they're still gonna be able to compete for a playoff spot.
NBA approves Coaches challenge flags for next season. We'll see how that works out... NBA Approves Coaches Challenge Flags for 2019-20 Season
This offseason has been CAH-RAZY. Russ and Harden together makes me wonder how efficient they're going to be. I mean, one of them ain't gonna get theirs on any given night. There literally isn't enough ball to go around between those two. The other guys on the team might as well give up on getting the ball. Apparently Russ wanted to reunite with Harden. Miami would've made a lot more sense to me but eh... As for CP3, dude is gonna end his career in purgatory.
After thinking about it a bit more, there's no way CP3 is staying on OKC. Presti gotta flip him to a contender for more picks.
I am liking the Russ and harden combo. They both have their critics and people have been down on them which means they have a lot to prove. Ball dominance doesn't matter to Russ, it is no different to playing with pg13. He did mostly all he could to keep pg13 happy so that shows he's willing. Admittedly the strategy needs to be worked out. I am excited what they come up with. Loving Tyler herros game since watching his high school vids, going to be following his career with interest. His hometown Bucks should have snapped him up. East has got even weaker. For all the super teams talk Toronto coach did a great job last season. Seeing how the herd cowherd whatever his name is ranked his duos NBA jam style I am going to rank mine: Kwahi&pg13 - both can make critical shots and stops yada yada Zion&Ball - the rookie hype train is here, give it up next gen Harden&Russ - critics love to hate, best friends going to work it out Curry&d'russ - warriors with a twist LBJ&ad - they so big who is blocking up the lane Kyrie&kd - nothing happening for a while
Well, the 2019 NBA season started with the Raptors getting their rings and then beating the Zionless Pelicans and the Clippers beating the Lakers. It was a fun game with a charged atmosphere, but the lack of a Lakers bench was painfully exposed. The Clips bench outscored the Lakers bench like 60 to 15. It should get better when Rondo and Kuzma return... and if LeBron stops turning the ball over.
Was that an actual Andrew Wiggins sighting................hell must've frozen over. Was watching the game, didn't even realize that Shabazz Napier was on the T-Wolves. Thought he was LeBron's guy? He's been traded a bunch since coming in the league.
Only the first game but including the preseason, the Warriors haven't given me a whole lot of confidence. I mean, yeah, losing KD entirely and Klay for possibly the entire season will do that but it's gonna be difficult with these young guys still so green.
Oh, no. Stephen Curry... Stephen Curry injury: Warriors star breaks left hand as Golden State's bad luck continues
I almost feel sorry for the warriors this year, almost. On a brighter note atleast d russel will be forced to take more ownership of his role which can only be a good thing for when the others return. The Lakers are all hype. Can't believe they have all those big men in their squad, four including cousins and then lbj who is a big point guard. Let's see if that is advantageous, i imagine teams with good quick shooters would just as easily cause them trouble. Kawhi, is just quietly in the prime of his career. Distinctly lbj is not anymore. Only the begining so will have to wait for the post season to really see.
Today's NBA words of the day: Load-management. Kawhi Leonard: Clippers, NBA deserve praise for stars' load management Sitting out for rest, ERRRR load-management IN NOVEMBER is BS. Get your ass out there and play! Tickets should be partially refunded if the big stars don't play due to "load-management."
So guys what's your take on LOAD MANAGEMENT? Michael Jordan says to his team, "You're paid to play 82 games". That's is his philosophy. He won titles by grinding and throwing his body every night. Not only him but other players in his era. Thrived and Survived. Lasted 10 to 14 years in the league and that in an era where defense is played tough. Yeah players today aren't Michael Jordan. But people also paid tickets to see the basketball stars play. This is issue is very divisive. Players back in the day, just play all season long and fans having a good time seeing them play. Of course if they're injured, it's understandable if they sit out. So can we say Players back then are hardened and players today are soft? Also LeBron James played full season and kept returning to the finals time and again win or lose before he left for the Lakers. Yeah LBJ is physical freak. But he isn't the only one. What about the Golden State Warriors as well? And here comes Kahwi, played just 60 games last year to have a fresh body come playoffs and won a title as a Boardman for Toronto. In an era where NBA is no longer defense oriented but now geared to offense showman ship. Back to back games are decreased from averaging 19.2 a year down to a 12 something last year. And that's not enough? And what do they want? cut the games from 82 to 60? So what will be TV networks deal will become?
