They're bored, on cruise control and nobody else is a threat to catch them in the standings.

My opinion, their biggest threat is a way less talented Rockets team that relies on a known choker, in Harden and a gimpy CP3. Their 3rd and 4th options in Gordon and Ariza are just as injury prone. Spurs don't have Kawhi back yet with his return still up in the air. They're still short handed on scoring options with Parker and Ginobili on decline, warming the bench. Their young guys, Murray and Anderson are not ready to take on the heavy lifting yet. OKC is still playing hero ball, no coherent system in place w/ a past prime Carmelo and inconsistent PG with NO shooters to space the floor and a questionable bench. So Warriors indifference is pretty much warranted since nobody's really nipping at their heals.

Dumb question though, would the NBA be willing to expand by only one team (Sonics) ?

Maybe one in the east and the Sonics in the west ?

Probably would lead to a mild re-alignment too.

    EDIT: RIP Rasual Butler

Well, now that my Eagles took care of business, I can focus all my attention on the T-Wolves. I heard we are playing the Cavs tomorrow. I think their loosing streak started when we blew their doors off.

So the Lakers get fined $50,000 because Magic Johnson said too many good things about Giannis? So frickin' stupid. :lol

This wasn't the first time. The team was fined $500K for tampering earlier in the season.

    Porzingis tears his ACL.

That's the fourth member of Team LeBron out with an injury.

    Damn.

You know, if the Magic didn't "zone out" for 5 minutes every night they'd be a playoff team.

The team has some legit talent.

    Busy night in the Association:

Cavs blow a 21 point lead to Orlando and lose 116-98. Damn Lebron, at least wait til the playoffs to implode (like how you bowed out in that Boston series when you first left Cleveland).

Unicorn goes down when Knicks fans ain't got much to cheer about to begin with. At least we all were gifted the dunk of the year when the Greek Freak leapfrogged Hardaway Jr.

OKC really coming up, and it showed last night vs Warriors. I know, ain't the playoffs yet (Houston coming for ya too).

The one nearest and dearest to my heart: Raptors blow out Celts in the matchup of the East's 1-2 seeds. Again, this is regular season but still a statement game. Plus Raps have an easier sched than Celts rest of the way so very good chance of taking the top seed/home court come playoff time. Crazy as it sounds I still prefer not to face Lebron in a 7 game series.

I'm getting tired of people making excuses for the W's when they get rolled. This is an all-star team with 2 hall of famers, 2 all-stars and loads of talent coming off the bench. Saying they're mentally fatigued is a load of crap. No team with this amount of talent should be getting rolled by 20 and 30.

A team with four current all stars, two of which are former MVPs, and two former all stars on the bench should not be committing 20+ turnovers on a constant basis and averaging 15+ turnovers for the season.

    That is unforgivable.

Props to the Cavs for finally showing up to play good on national TV. From the tip the Cavs seemed like the Cavs of old, actually playing some D, hitting 3s, moving the ball around a bit and a game winner from Lebron at the end. Too bad it was against the T-Wolves. Just a glimpse of what they COULD do in the playoffs if they get it together.

As for the Timberwolves, they WILL be a playoff team this year, just gotta hope no one gets hurt for them. The 1 year they coulda made the playoffs when Love was here, both Rubio and Love got hurt during that season.

All of this is exactly why I'm not ready to write them off, despite all the alleged locker-room drama. This is still basketball, where one guy can be the difference in a playoff series (especially a Lebron hitting Super Saiyan God mode).

And there's no reason to believe Minny won't be in the thick of things come playoff time, got a solid 1 thru 5 that can hang with pretty much anyone.

IT and Frye to the Lakers for Clarkson and Nance Jr.

IT was pretty much forcing the issue with the Cavs.

Utah sends Joe Johnson to Sacramento, Cleveland sends Jae Crowder and Derek Rose to Utah and Shump to the Kings. Sacramento sends George Hill to the Cavs.

Damn, Cavs just flipped half their roster.
