The question is what sound recording will a KO Fortress have?

 

This is great for the people who want a half ass Fort Max. Gotta have the ship or no dice

 

I can't say I really see a point in this unless they plan on doing a full two-foot tall diecast behemoth of a FortMax, which to be fair could be pretty cool.

 

It is was cheap, I could see some people just sticking this on their Titans Returns Fort Max body for fun. Depends on if that is cheaper than importing a Legends Fort Max.

 

I'd pick one up if it's sufficiently cheap - can have Cerebros w/my deluxe Headmasters while FortMax keeps his head. Win-win

 

i'd be in for one.. i want Cerebros, but really don't care for Fort Max... so it's a win for me if it's true.

 

Same for me, I'd get this as I only want a Cerebros, don't really care for the super large body of Fort max.

 

I don't think this is even a prototype image. You can see the different shades of grey on the toy which correspond EXACTLY to the paint colors on the Takara toy. They just photo shopped the Takara Legends Fortress toy. Also, if you zoom in on the spot where his Autobot symbol should be you can see an area here all the grey is EXACTLY the same shade, unlike all the other grey spots with different shades of grey from pixel to pixel. So they obviously PAINTED out the Autobot symbol.

 

if real id be in for one, itd allow cerebros to be seperate from the ship mode and still have the ship look complete

How do you figure that? What's half ass about the hasbro Fort Max? You know what's half assed? The fact that the Japanese Fort Max doesn't come with the gun that he used in the toon. Takara is slipping with that one.

Floppy hips, knees and shoulders. The fact the his ship mode can't be held up without collapsing at the hips. The lack of ankle articulation. The fact the he's mostly recycled from Metroplex. The need for third parties to make add-on kits to improve the hands, weapons and ankles.

Don't get me wrong, I don't see this being a great alternative to the actual release. I just don't see the actual release as being great either. There's a reason he went to the Marshall's of the world at fifty bucks in less than a year.

 

You do realize that this is a ko of just the head for Fort Max? Cerebros is a damn good figure. I do agree with you on the fort max portion of the toy. But it looks great on a shelf. I traded mp Soundwave with 7 cassettes for the sdcc version and hard head and I don't regret it. Floppy hollow retool it's all good to me. Just wish I didn't have to pay another $25 for the gun now

 

You know, we are seeing allot of kos these days. Could this be the ko companies essentially shopping images to us to find out what is hot and what is not..?

I will say i do want one as i want the headmasters version, strip out the the electrics. Don't need 2 sets...

 

Is it just Cerebros? I was under the impression that it wasn't even confirmed to be anything yet. But if it is just Cerebros that does change things... slightly. And, like you've already pointed out, begs the question why?

To that regard, Cerebros still suffers from the current TR cutbacks. And this version doesn't see to improve upon anything I'd want like wrist swivels. The Takara face for Spike is nice, I guess.
