Can we just not? The first three movies are varying degrees of classics, but nothing good has come from trying to revisit the franchise in later years.
Eh, I'm fine with them trying this. Maybe because they've already rebooted Magnum PI and that's still going on, so I'm kind of ready to watch the world to burn at this point.
......Wasn't a fan of the Magnum reboot, but if it worked for you that's fine.(Guessing it didn't based on world burning line) But a reboot will always be compared to the original, so if they remake something it has to be as good as or better than the original.
The last one they did with Ed Helms was awful.......so I've heard, I won't bother wasting my time trying to sit through it.
Yeah, the Ed Helms one was just... I don't think the word "Terrible" fairly describes it. The rubbing of poop on the mom's face thinking it was hot spring mud. Thor drawing attention to his balls. The little brother... If that was my kid, I would beat him with a baseball bat while yelling STOP BEING AN ASSHOLE, YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!! Vegas Vacation was boring. Save the scene of the ladys in bikinis and laughing when Clark swings on a cable while singing America the Beautiful at the Hoover Dam.
I actually thought the Ed Helms one was pretty decent. Yeah, a good bunch of the jokes were more raunchy/crass humor than actually clever, but I enjoyed a lot of the story. I laughed at the jokes more often than not. And it was nice seeing Clark and Helen (and the classic Electric Pea car) again. But a show? That could spread things a too thin pretty easily.
