Well NASA has let the cat out of the bag so to say. At a press Conference at MIT Today, NASA scientists estimate that humans will be able to locate alien life within the next 20 years.

The scientists predicts that 100 million worlds in our own Milky Way galaxy may host alien life, and space program scientists estimate that humans will be able to find life within two decades.

Myself Personally, if we are to find life closer to Earth, believe the best place to look maybe the moons Titan or possibly Enceladus due to that moon being geologically active.

Would you like the aliens to be technologically inferior or superior?

Legend has it that a shuttle transmission to mission control included the line from one of the astronauts: "We have the alien spacecraft under surveillance" before the transmission cut off from the public channel to a secure encrypted channel. Of course, "alien" could mean a few different things but for an astronaut to be on the "public" channel and use that term is probably not too smart, lol...

    Preferably inferior.

If they were superior, they would have watched our movies, and they'd have a whole cheat sheet on human tactics.

    :lol

And in 20 minutes on any given news station humans will prove why we SHOULD be left alone in the universe.

Fantastic work! Science really has come pretty damn far, and it'll be cool to see what life may exist outside of our space :D

Is it really worth proving at this point? We all know we're not. And I mean, anybody who seriously believes Earth is the only planet with life in the entire vast, nearly infinite Universe is probably not going to accept proof anyhow.

That's pretty much a daily occurrence on any given news station.

And 20 years later we find out that the reason nobody regularly visits our solar system is because the rest of the universe would prefer for us to stay here as long as possible.

This is all sorts of a bad idea. In 20 years or less human race gonna get eradicated, and that isn't necessarily awful.

Superior, it would give us an opportunity to learn more and reflect on how messed up our society is.

    Also:

    This, sadly, is probably true.

But yeah, as great as this news is, it's pretty likely that there is life out there somewhere, I'm still intrigued at the possibility of there being other life elsewhere in our own system, especially on Europa with the possibility of it having a huge ocean under all that ice

People have been predicting the downfall of the human race for...well as long as people learned to write. As for the rest, if it´s bad or not, why don´t you fall on your own sword and find that out?

I don't have a sword. Boy do I want one though. Well I'd prefer a katana but still.

Seriously though, finding intelligent life outside of our planet isn't gonna end well.
