http://cube.ign.com/articles/678/678747p1.html http://cube.ign.com/articles/677/677839p1.html as for the EA bit, when you remove competetors, there's the chance you'll start to lose money...$2 is a big drop
I thought it was kinda funny how they completely avoided mentioning that particularly obvious reason. You know they're like "Dammit! What the hell did we do!?" The Namco/Bandai thing has some good potential. Can't wait to see what comes out of it.
What you get for forcing everybody to buy your product. Well NFL wise anyway. Hmm though I am spooked a little by the Bandai/Namco merger. Hopefully what I'm thinking doesn't happen, Namco games coming out with a 4kids logo. Unless I'm thinking of something else then this shouldn't happen.
You mean people aren't buying as many sports games as they once were ? NOOOOOOO !!! Maybe people are getting sick of having to pay full price for 200x then having to buy a new version the next year for full price, PLUS they're not allowed trading in their old version (local EBs here say NO EA sports games allowed for trade-in).
If anything Bandai is pulling its own strings around. They are releasing Eureka Seven (a show who happens to be so awesome it has robots on surfboards and make it even MORE awesome) in the US by themselves and has recently annouced a premium remastered collection of the Patlabor films. Also; the Eureka Seven prequel video game is made by Namco. The MS Legends/Gundam: True Oddesy is also made by Namco. Things are coming out allright.
Just looking at the title I thought it was saying bandai and namco were merging with EA. and I said to myself "For the love of all that is holy NO!"
Unless maybe it was Bandai and Namco buying out and taking over EA instead of the other way around? I could see that being a good thing.
