So I did a thing yesterday. I made a force field for Newage Trailbreaker. The basic design is easy but I want to double its size and add a port in the center for his hands to hold or a blast effect to plug in. I will be selling these as a kit once done.

    Full kit in blue.

Pegs added to allow Hasbro compatability.

Thank you. I forgot to turn on my infill on my printer so the middle is way too gappy. It should all be smooth with no holes. But that is what round 2 is for once my printer is freed up.

Cool idea and it turned out great too. The individual hexagons look really good because of the lines the 3d printer made. it would be cool to see this attached to a laser beam or something coming out of his shoulder cannon.

There is a peg hole on the back of his back emitter thingy. I will be making peg holders for his hands to hold the force field more appropriately but I can also make one that will peg in to that notch on the back so it will hold it without his hands. The only issue is the weight of the force field and the sturdiness of the hinge on that part. It may end up being a full plug for the back to take the stress off the hinge so it will stay up straight.

Honestly I didnt even think about the stress that would put on the hinge. Maybe some kind of clamp could attach it to the shoulders? I dont know. Looking forward to seeing updates!

Add a 5 mm peg, make them in orange, as well and I'm in :D
Forget about the 5 mm peg - I can do that myself. Just make it in orange, please. :p

Orange would be awesome...like in the IDW comics. Red, too. I might buy one of each color. Are those 3D-printed?

Yep, they are 3D printed. I plan on 5 different versions plus connectors in a kit.

An umbrella is pretty much a forcefield against rain so it might come in handy if Megatron builds another weather machine.

I think that's Magic Square Trailbreaker. Although, if you have any Newage figures, I'm curious to see how he scales. I personally prefer Newage for my legends, but Magic square has been a close second to fill in the gaps if the scale isn't too jarring.

I wish Hasbro would make something like MagicSquare Red Cannon for sideswipe but I do like the siege mold. MagicSquare makes good g1 figures.

I collect Newage, Magic Square, Toyworld, Dx9, MFT & Iron Factory. They all scale together if you put them in the right situation. I dont display mine like Hitler's ranks on a shelf. Mine are always in a scene of some sort. Scale becomes a lot less noticable when you do that. Really helps create depth in an otherwise small space. 20200331_095156.jpg

Just a quick update. The kit is complete and ready in blue. Yellow will be next followed by orange and red when that PLA gets here. Below is what will be Included in the kit. Feel free to message me while I work on action shots and settings up a sale post here and on Etsy.

These are the same ones. I curve them with a hair drier. To keep shipping under $5 they will ship flat and you can curve them as you please. I will be putting up a tutorial video on how I curve them.
