Same (that Illythia Vargg deluxe figure was the first thing that interested me from M.L. but I didn't want it) it looks really great I don't really collect action figures but this thing looks awesome looking to not get it - might be an impulse thing. Also good to know that even if I regret getting it I can break even or get more for it by selling it off. I do hope the tail doesn't get in the way too much (I kind of wish it was articulated). I'm tempted to either get this version or just wait for a red version cause I'd prefer it in red over blue but the blue looks really good (kind of fits the look and head sculpt better )IDK if I can tho.
I'm sure they'll do another color, but at their rate that'll be 2023 until that came out, at best. Last year was a lot of 'best of' waves. All of the remaining preorders last year were All Stars, deluxes, and legion builders as other waves. So maybe I'll be wrong and they'll do a another wave of new figures in the next couple months in addition to an All Stars wave that's expected. Now that I'm thinking of it more they'll def do another Cosmic wave as well, so make take time for another Mythic preorder, who knows!
Information on an upcoming Heads Pack release from Four Horsemen Studios Well they wasted no time, a head pack is coming, there'll be a vote but the first one included is that skull templar head that came with Sir Girard. Speaking of Sir Girard, I heard the figure is going to go up on Legions Shop for $60+shipping this Saturday at noon btw. https://www.legionsshop.com/
Nice! I think I'd like to see more of the unique human heads from earlier waves, like Otho or Attlus. Or some of the dwarves' heads with the awesome beards.
Shipping was $26.44 for me for Sir Girard, laughed and closed the tab. There is no possible way it costs that much to ship.
Niiiice. I didn’t pick up Girard because all I would really want from him would be the Con skeleton head. But this way I can get the head, and just slap it on some other random knight body. Works for me!
I’ve shipped Legions myself from coast to coast as recent as a month ago and it’s never come anywhere close to $26.44. Looking at the USPS calculator, shipping from OR to NY via Priority for a five pound package was $25. Something was definitely off with the site. Money saved for something else! I’ll just grab the regular one next year and a head pack, still will likely be cheaper than $86 shipped (and I’ll get extra heads).
Not sure if this is gonna be "fixed" or not but 4HM did a live stream of unboxing the retail Sir Girard and it came with a surprise. Around 7 min mark.
Just posting a review if anyone is looking for a 3rd party to snag preorders from - did a preorder with Mallfish - and have been really pleased with communication and info. A+
Hmm, finally got around to watching the whole thing. Not a whole lot of concrete info, but it sounds like they have their stock of Sir Gerard already in their warehouse, but they haven't scheduled a sale for him yet. I wonder if this means that he's going to be offered with the legion builders/reinforcements that they didn't take a preorder for, but will supposedly have in stock. It's been about six months since they announced those, and with no new tooling, their factory should be able to turn those around within that time frame, as they did with the All-Stars 4 wave. Any other wild speculation?
Had to pull the trigger on my pile of loot at BBTS earlier this month, but then it sat in processing for about two weeks. I emailed asking for an update yesterday. Looks like at least one of my figures was part of their inventory snafu. They say they were able to get a resupply (everything was from Arethyr wave) and will be able to fulfill the order soon. They provided a nice store credit and sincere apologies, so I’m good. No birthdays ruined on this end. Actually, when you factor in the credit and free shipping, I think I’m making out better than if I ordered through an ISS and had to pay the crazy shipping costs. I still feel bad for the guy/gal that was trying to army build Gryshaa. Not enough reserve supplies to correct the inventory error of that magnitude.
