so your planning to make this story about Autobot and Decepticons not Maximals and Predicons?

    Cool Ideas.
Back in the beastie era I had also thought of this, only I was considering Having a Cerberus Prime.
he was kind of like a cross between Cybertron Scourge and RID Bruticus having dogs heads for shoulders.

While Mythical beasts are 'great', I would much rather something along the 'FUZOR' technology...

I always thought something like how the pods left on ancient earth crashed and were left untouched, and one by one they were 'activated' at different times of human civilization and depending on thier forms make up a majority of Earth's mythology...

Imagine Dragons being based on a lizard/bat FUZOR which activated during the middle ages?

Maybe the Minotaur was a Bull beast mode robot who looked like a 'bull man' in robot mode.

All sorts of beast modes could be designed to explain earth mythology...

I'm sorry, but I really do not think Fenrir is suitable for anything remotely related to an Autobot. He is:

    a) a monster of destruction, the doom of the Norse Gods and generally a bad being.

    b) described thus: his lower jaw hangs so low it touches the ground and his upper jaw rises so high it touches the sky. This is due to his mouth being held open by a sword during his captivity. And even if it was held closed, he would still be most unpleasant to look at.

    Might fit Galvatron though...

BTW, ShinMusashi44, that Megatron is a masterpiece of design. I should have realised the the way to get rid of a load of kibble (heads) is to put them in place of pre-existing kibble (gun barrels). Nice :thumb

well I'm imagining fenrir in more of a final fantasy vein.

see fenrir is already white. galvatron can't be white... although megatron is white. Although I'm certain that colors can be stretched. like purple stripes over a white or grey body. hmm... that could work.

What about ifrit as prime? I mean he's already red. He can be made out to be a giant wolf-like creature rather than feline, to avoid any similarities with Lio-convoy.

Librarian- are you sure you're talking about fenrir, and not fafnir. fafnir I believe is a dragon.

Oh yeah, have you heard of a Myrmidon dragon, and which mythology does that belong to?

    As for "good" myth monsters.

The weird thing is that most relatively nice myth creatures whas very humanoid. So you'll have to make up your mind yourself what you want.

Minotaur would work but the transformation would be rather boring.
Griffon is said and would be cool but there would be issues whith flying.
    Manticores just look too evil.
Maybe a giant hippo (Behemot whas such a thing)? But maybe it would suit a Rhinox-type better.
    Sleipner? Too many legs...

    I dunno.

Well, most 'maximals'probably tried toreveal themselves to the human population as un-scary as possible... so a humanoid robot with animal aspects could be the result of a beast wars transformer in robot mode.

Minotaur: The robot mode of a BULL beast transformer, I mean BIGHORN could easily be mistaken for a minotaur in robot mode.

Griffon: Eagle/Lion Fuzor, It may not be uncommon that many of the pods left behind were damaged int he same way the fuzors were.

    Manticore: Lion/Scorpion Fuzor

Behmotet: Gator/Hippo Fuzor (the egyption attack beast guards of the underword)

Sleipnir: Spider/horse fuzor... I mean all mythology recorded is a multi-legged horse, Who knows how it looked so ancient humans...

It keeps going on and on, make some plausible fuzor designs that can be represent the origins of human myths...

Aah; I see. Never thought that far. =)

    But that's hell-a groovy.

I just figured he wanted mythic beast mode and thats the end-all.

Then a fairy TF would be one whith a dragonfly alt-mode? Hmm...
