There are no limited editions or rare figures (except that scout class Windcharger ) here (unless you count my kitbashes) but it's my collection and I love it! If you want to know the history of my collecting read on, if you don't just scroll down for the pics. I started collecting in '85 when my parents gave me Hound for Christmas. The last TF I bought in that era was a Seacon and I was frustrated with lack of articulation so I stopped collecting but continued to read the comics until well into the Pretender era. Sadly my comics have all been lost but the toys survived (except for Beachcomber) despite nagging from my parents to get rid of them. With the internet not really existing and not being much of a TV watcher Generation 2 passed me by but when Beast Wars came along I bought a few figures but didn't have access to the show. TFs continued their lives without me until I rediscovered them by accident during the Classics era and then the addiction really began. For the first time in many years I had small amounts of money to spare and was able to watch the shows and import figures thanks to the internet. I began tracking down the figures I'd missed and wanted and eventually joined Seibertron so I could plan, feed and nurture my addiction months ahead of retail! Without further ado, here are the pictures: I'm not going to add lights to these next two because they catch the light well enough, LEDs wouldn't add much. Generation 1 Theses are mostly figures I got as a child. Only a few have been added during adulthood. Movie Masterpiece G1 Masterpiece Home made missle firing effect for Magnus. (On the right is a tissue box that one of my students made for me.) Some Old Pics I made a weapons rack for the Dinobots: I made the flame jet, but you can probably tell! I started making my own gun blast effects. These are the old style ones, but I figured out an easier and more effective method, which you can see here. It turns out cars with large guns sticking out of them don't look as stupid when it looks like they're shooting. Comparisons: A Plague Of Insecticons Finally having a swarm of this little critters is very satisfying. Dinobots Experiments: Masterpieces In Alt Mode I decided to see how my Masterpiece collection would look with everything in alt mode (except Skywarp, his wing hinges won't take another transformation). Masterpieces By Colour After watching one of BSF's '4 Dummies' videos about collecting ruts and how TF displays often don't look cohesive I thought I'd see what it looks like when they're organised by colour. It wasn't very easy and maybe you'd do it slightly differently to me, but here it is: Sixshot hasn't come out the right colour here, but him and Kup are blue/green so kind of go with the green figures. I quite like the result but I didn't stick with it for long. I went back to grouping them by association from the cartoon as that looks cohesive to me and I'm the one that sees this the most. What do you guys think about this? Scale Chart by @Grifter Prime Binaltech/Alternators and Original Masterpiece Sadly, owing to space, these are now in storage. In case you're wondering, that amazing creation front and centre is what my best friend made for me. She set out to create 'the most super-duper Optimus Prime EVER' and that is the result.
