You, could be right because, that would be like the "Some"(not me as, i like the flames   ) fans not liking the flames on Optimus Prime.

Rodimus was going to be a firetruck. maybe the firetruck in this movie is rodimus. but it would be better if his name was changed back to Hot Rod.

Look, everybody (except Jazz, who's downgraded from Porche to Pontiac Solstice) got upgraded in movieverse, Ironhide & Ratchet from Nissan Vanette to Topkick Truck & Hummer H2, Bumblebee from VW Beetle to Chevy Camaro Concept, Constructicons from regular size construction vehicle to giant mining vehicle...

So the firetruck is still INFERNO, movieverse gives him a new look, from the regular old firetruck to this giant, modern airport firetruck... and based on the vehicle's size compared to Ironhide, Sideswipe, etc from the videoclip in Chicago, Inferno will be much bigger than Optimus himself, may be similar to Optimus-Ultra Magnus size comparison in G1.

 

my guess is of course inferno. there's no way it's Hot Rod, cause there's a red ferrari on set.

Red Alert, Inferno or Hot Spot would all be great names for it. Bulkhead could be really awesome too, though.

Exactly. My idea is that Hot Rod is the Ferrari, and that Rodimus Prime is the firetruck. As in, they are two completely different characters. Hot Rod doesn't upgrade into Rodimus Prime, they're two different Autobots.
