This is my WIP on a SG or mirror-verse Animated. I didn't mind shattered glass, but felt it limited itself by simply being redecos for most characters with new heads. I saw Animated as a perfect way to really push this concept. Since most characters in Animated are influenced by pre-existing characters, it seemed like more liberties could be taken with "mirror versions" since not only could they be stylized takes on the Animated characters, but incorperate designelements from past versions.

So far I've only done two quick mock-ups of Prime and Starscream with my general idea, and am not 100% satisfied and would like ideas on how to make them look more like reverses of the Animated personalities.

I envisioned Starscream as a very subdued, calm but motivated person. If his presonality was anyone, he'd be Gibbs from NCIS. I incorperated design elements of the most "noble" of Starscream's, the Armada version, as I felt like colouring him as an Autobot would kinda retread on the existing SG Starscream. I totally half-assed his jet mode, going for a sort of bullbous tetra-jet. I'm currently redesigning it proper.



I thought up Prime as a loud-mouth street-punk. (I actually ahd punk elements in his design, but dropped them because, well, they just didn't look right) A real crazy. He's the kinda guy who'd cuss you out then brutally beat you with an rusty iron rod. was lost on his deco so I based it off Beast Wars Megatron. :/



The next two I want to do are Bumblebee and Lugnut.

 

Please make Grimlock,Swoop,& Snarl in Nightcralwer,Angel, & Gambit's Colors?

SG Starscream looks like his armada counterpart, while SG Optimus Prime looks like BW Megatron, I like them.

Also, now that I'm working more on Bumblebee, I think I'm going to quickly do Sari to go along before I move onto Lugnut.

 

hmmm,thats what i get for not explaining it well enough,well i guess we can talk bout that in a PM,other then that,i hope SG Swindle is based on Billy Mays.

 

Actually my original ideas were either Santa Claus or Oprah as the inspiration for SG Swindle.

 

Really glad you made SS look like his Armada counterpart instead of Jetfire. It's perfect because Armada's SS was probably the closest SS to be considered good or honourable.

 

I really do like that Starscream. Prime is pretty cool, too.

 

Please make SG Ultra Magnus and Sentinel Prime too.

These look pretty good. Would definitely be interested in seeing more of your takes on different Animated characters in the SG universe.  

 

I plan to. I have a pretty good idea of what to do with Magnus, but if you guys have any ideas of what sort of take for Sentinel I'm all ears!

BTW, BB and Sari. I tried to amke these a little more refined. I also cheated just a little. I suck at drawing TF Animated hands, so I had them blacked out. *teehee* also I left out Sari's human mode aside from the headshot since I added some of those elements. I left out the spark chamber door to make her look like less of a colour-swap and to complete the look.

Cookie for anyone who guesses the (kinda obvious) inspiration for these two.  





Lugnut is next. I really want to make him but I'm just tapped for ideas.  

 

Bumblebee looks like Ravage, and Sari looks like Ratbat.

Dunno if that was the inspiration, but they do.

EDIT: Bumblebee also looks like Batman. Sari could be Catwoman.
