Hope you guys like this. Here's a list of what I did: 1. Painted the "faux" windshield/chest and the "real" windshield blue, as well as adding the silver accent "stripes" like on the back of the packaging. 2. Painted the biceps gray. 3. Painted the feet gray. 4. Painted upper legs metallic silver 5. Painted gas tanks metallic silver. 6. Painted wheel rims metallic silver. (Light coat.) 7. Added a wash of metallic silver to the entire figure to make him look scratched up. 8. Added Autobot decals to both shoulders. Let me know what ya'll think. Thanks!
More light sources and less camera flash would make your workk shine. As it is it is a bit difficult to see all you have done.
Yep. I agree and I apologize. My cam sucks. I'll borrow my buddy's cam and take more pics. Thanks for your comment, though.
You're headed in the right direction all I would recommend is if you painted the shoulder pads red or blue to distinguish them from the biceps
Nice, did you remove the blue paint before painting grey? The feet and fists are grey plastic, painted blue.. otherwise I like what you did!
Nah, I didn't have anything to strip the blue paint so I just painted over it with matte gray then a gloss clear coat. Thanks!
Some Alt mode pics would be nice. Show us how that window tinting turned out. I was thinking about doing the same thing but I wasn't sure if I'd be able to still see those stupid red panels behind it, so I was going to just make them solid light blue.
You can still see the red panels behind the windshield in alt mode, albeit less. I used a blue Sharpie, so they're still very transparent. I may end up painting the "real" windshield solid blue and leaving the "faux" one transparent because I like them that way in bot mode, not so much in alt mode.
