I took apart my SNES to clean the inside of it with air in a can. I reconnected it and it does not read the cartridges anymore. I ruined it and 17 years of happiness. Does anybody have one for sale? :cry

I actually have an SNES, simply the console, no wires though. I think I can use the same power supply and video hook-up from an NES to check it out, see if it works. I'll let you know.

Did you undo any wires or connections while cleaning it? Check to see if anything came loose.

Indeed. My Dreamcast died on me a couple months back. And right in the middle of playing Grandia II, which I never did beat.

Yes I do own a Wii. But SNES is indeed the best console ever released so far and I just bought a brand new (to me) SNES to replace my old one for $60.

I was gutted a few years ago when thieves broke into my house at Uni and all they stole out of a house full of 9 peoples stuff including expensive (at the time) mp3 players, computers and other gadgetry was:

My SNES and all its games
My Megadrive and most of it's games (they left some crap ones)
A bottle of coke out of the fridge (?!)

Those SNES systems are a pain in the butt to open up and clean, and replace parts. I will NEVER do it again. Sorry yours died on you.

That sounds way too particular to be a random robbery. Shady roommates or something.
