Been messing around in Photoshop, taking a look at some tutorials, and throwing in my own creativity... here are the results. (all are made from scratch unless noted otherwise) I'll keep updating this thread with what trickles out of my spare time. (In separate posts, so check through the pages to see what I add.) This needs no introduction. Diamonds in the Rough - Space is a hostile place, but is also home to beautiful sights. Space (Basic Version) Planet
Captain America Shield in Photoshop | Abduzeedo | Graphic Design Inspiration and Photoshop Tutorials I used this as a great start (very good tutorial) and I used some different settings and textures than he did.
I found myself changing a lot of the lighting setting he suggested. I wanted to go for something a little darker to give it more of a worn and used look. I also used a different texture than what he gave. I went for more scratches to give the "battle tested" look to it. And, I used a different drop shadow and inner shadow style for the seams in the metal rings to make it pop more.
wow! what vesion of photoshop do you have? that is really cool! you did a really nice job with the planet's texture. I suggest that you fish eye the planet a bit more but, on the whole, that looks professional!
Nice work! Just a note in regard to that shield tutorial, I'd suggest using shape layers rather than the paint bucket tool for filling areas. They open up more possibilities than an old-fashioned layer of "pixel paint". Also, using a gradient fill layer instead of the gradient tool will allow you to make easier adjustments.
They are all wonderful, but like others, I really love the shield!! Excellent work!! Not only is it eyecatching, it just pops off the page!!
You're welcome, the 2nd one (Light Streams) is mesmerizing. Reminds me of a screen saver I once used. Good job!!
