Through listening to some sound clips over on tumblr regarding Optimus Prime speaking "The legend exists" in Cybertronian, I was able to write down the words (not english, mind you) and try and make as much sense of it as I possibly could.

This was what I was able to determine instead of it being jumbled up electronic gibberish back in the first two movies.

"Fostomimas etoma gwa." (gwa could've been "gua" but I don't know)

It could've been more seperate words, but I don't think that would make any sense at all. I tried to hear as much as I could, but if anyone can think of a better way of writing down the words themselves, you can try. This was just what my ears were able to hear.

Sorry if it sucks, but I tried.

Do you mean that you're trying to write the actual Cybertronian speech?

I wouldn't worry about it too much, the Cybertronian in the movies is literally just gibberish. It's not like Game of Thrones where they got someone in to actually create Old Valarean and Dolthraki languages for them. They just get the actors to say any old rubbish as long as it sounds good. It probably doesn't sound as gibberishy because it's Peter Cullen saying it, not some generic through an effect generator.

I've been meaning to write it down ever since I saw it but I only saw the movie once and couldn't remember it for the life of me. So through listening to sound clips on tumblr, I tried to write it down.

It's not 100% accurate, but I tried my best.

Pretty much, but I wanted to see if I could write it down. I know most of it is gibberish, but what Peter Cullen was saying didn't quite sound gibberish like the first two movies were. This was more... speaking rather electronic bleeps and what not.

After all, it was an Autobot that was speaking it, not a Decepticon.

Sorry if I'm making a fuss about it. I just wanted to share what I heard and thought people would be interested.

I'm happy that an Autobot spoke in Cybertronian in this movie, not just Decepticons, who usually do it in the movies to make them feel more alien and sometimes more animal-like.

I don't remember - what scene did he speak Cybertronian in? Was it just commanding his soldiers or something?

Never noticed that. I'll have to go back and watch it again when the DVD comes out.

I miss that electronic gibberish. It was so creepy and cool, it really gave transformers alien sounding. You have to remember those guys are alien robots, they can pronounce sounds much more complex then our common speech. And even then you can kind of hear some words there, when Blackout said 'All hail Megatron!' for example I've heard something like 'Tecaputis Uncarabudnt' with electronic buzzing. And it was awesome. But now we have Prime saying something in his 'Earth voice' (remember how Starscream's voice was different when he spoke different languages) and he sounds like some guy from another country rather then ancient alien transforming robot warrior! Not cool:thumbdown

Maybe it was because he's been on Earth for a little over seven years?

I saw that more as Lockdown speaking in the same language as the Steeljaws (or the language of their creators) than Lockdown speaking Cybertronian.

When Crosshairs and Drift made the anchors detach, he said something in Cybertronian commanding the Steeljaws.

Which is also Cybertronian since seed also has cybertronian glyphs. Or it's just because designers were too lazy to design a new language.

When Optimus spoke in Cybertronian, it sounded like Elvish to me.
