Yeah, but at least its nice to have official confirmation from Hasbro. Plus that ends the debate if there will be G5 or not, since there were people that were in denial that the show would end this year (or next, assuming S9 does not end this year)
But it was stated 5 years ago, G4 was ending in in 2019. That being said G5 starts with the Movie in 2021, so G4 is going to be stretched a little bit. Most shows would kill for the size and success of G4, and there getting a real Series Finale.
Spoiler Oh look, they're truly touting it as an end. Killing the Tree of Harmony, resurrecting Sombra. Involving a lot of stuff that is just looking like a blast, and all of that in the Season Premier most likely. So... What are they going to do for a Finale? Reform Queen Chrysalis? Why did they have to make the damn trailer like Game of Thrones?
Wow, Celestia and Luna stepping down? So who will raise the sun and moon? I never expected them to bring back Sombra. He was such an uninteresting one note villain without any personality at all... Hope they do something with him, like explain his motives. To this day he is my least favourite MLP villain. Sad to see the show coming to an end but at least this gives me a reason to finally get the series on DVD in full (or did they release them on BR?) and rewatch it. Whatever comes afterwards, it will have just as a hard time to be good as anything after Transformers Animated did...
Can I hug someone ? Please? This trailer really made me tear a lot. I mean..come on...Its hard when a show like this ends.
Can't believe how long ago it all started! And how it made me love a show whose's past incarnations would make me change channels faster than if it was Hey Arnold or Doug! Wonder if Hasbro will do a BluRay release of all the seasons eventually. Seems like a waste to buy the DVDs when rips from TV and streams are higher quality. I would certainly buy that. Frankly I was unimpressed with the comics, both story wise and with their weird too fluid art style... It is downright creepy with the faces sometimes. They also seem to follow their own continuity that often contradicts the show.
The comics are a...mixed bag to put it lightly. When they’re good they can be really good(in a “why isn’t this an episode” kind of way) but when they’re bad, they’re outright insulting and/or offensive, and unfortunately I feel the bad outweighs the good. And while there are some good artists, a lot of times the art leaves a lot to be desired. Even Andy Price, his art looks really growly and too exaggerated
HOLY SHITAKE I just saw the new Equestria Girls short from Friday... Hasbro disabled the comments section. That's the first time I've seen them do that. Makes me wonder how bad it had to have gotten there for Hasbro themselves to disable comments.
Why , what is it about? What in the plot could be that controversial? Honestly I stopped watching them after the second, they are not related to MLP FiM in anything but name as far as I am concerned. They were a very transparent effort by Hasbro to leech off some of that sweet sweet Monster High merchandise money off Mattel,quickly followed by other pretenders like DC Superhero Girls.
Watched the new EqG special. I thought it was alright - the whole 'humans go to Equestria' gimmick and having a non-alicorn Twilight and two RD's is entirely wasted, though, since most of their time there is spent inside Twilight's castle. Most of it is just shenanigans on a boat about RD freaking about about magic when there isn't any and generally just being annoying.
