New promo, and now it looks like Legends of Magic the comic series is actually canon to the show. Guess I now have more back issues to catch up with.
I've been buying the comics since the beginning, but only have read like half of them . I really need to catch up as well.
I've always seen the comics as "B" canon. That is, canon until the show contradicts them. Anyway, I'm excited for the return of season 7. And for those of you who haven't seen the Australian aired episodes... you're in for a treat August 5th. Been hard not talking about them on my podcast.
I'm extremely annoyed we haven't heard anything from Shout about a Season Six release, we're almost at the halfway point for Season Seven and the box sets have dried up, replaced with single disc releases and not a damn thing on their future releases for October when the movie hits, no big marketing push with loads of new releases to take advantage of the film's hype, not even a Blu-Ray release for the original motion picture from the 80's. Are they renegotiating their deal with Hasbro for releases? Or what? I don't even see a blu-ray release for Equestria Girls five, just the dumb DVD... I want Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray is the wave of the current now DVD is a past has-been that most film companies ignore for releases of late. Crisp clear images, I crave them and only them alone since getting my HDMI High-Def cable. Curse me for being some kind of silly git or something over the blu-ray movement, but at this point I thought DVDs would have faded into obscurity. I mean most DVDs remain on shelves for years needing to be discounted heavily to get rid of them because everyone has mostly switched over to blu-ray. Um, but I digress, and perhaps I'm ranting in entitlement mode at the moment, all I know is July 2016 saw Season Five released, we are now a year and one month over that initial release without a full Seasonal box set being released, and yeah maybe I'm being silly for settling for DVDs for box sets, but their usually cheaper and Shout hasn't offered television on Blu-Ray at the moment. So what is the deal? Where is Season Six? If they start sticking to Amazon streaming or Netflix crap without physical copies I will be extremely frustrated, I want physical copies, none of these stupid digital only shit ideas that Marvel has going for their television stuff. I haven't even seen any of these ground-breaking series because I refuse to pay for a Netflix account when I WANT physical. Anyway, ponies. At least I'll have something to watch next weekend, even if it's just another silly Brony Couple reacts video.
I hear you. I would love for Shout Factory to release the series on Blu-Ray (along with the recent EQG shorts). While I am happy with watching HD versions of the show on Netflix, I would like to have something more physical to put on my shelf that's in HD quality. I don't even mind if they release the seasons one at a time, either. Hell, if Transformers Prime was able to get Blu-Ray releases, I see no reason as to why FiM doesn't get one.

New episode has Discord as the focus. Always a win in my book. One joke took me second to get, but made me groan. Discord is trying to fix his place up for Fluttershy. He scares off the living pinata he made by making some flying bats appear. It runs off with the bats chasing it. "Pinatas hate bats." Joke on the multiple meaning of the word bats. I groaned. Edit: Second episode revolves around the Apple siblings' parents. Guest voice William Shatner!

The newest episode, "Fame and Misfortune" was a pretty great meta episode. It made multiple jabs at some of the more critical fans of the show, and got a lot of laughs out of me. Loved the song, too.
