This is my first and is on a WIP I just drybrushed him with metallic acrylic. I did the legs in yellow but it didn't turn up well (so I won't show that.

If you know how to put yellow on black please say. Lookforward to feedback and sorry if you can't see it well.

Looks pretty good for your first try.
Can you take pics of the legs.
I screwed up on my Sideswipe ROF figure and had to strip the paint and then repainted it.
It was a lot of work but I just could not bring myself to scrap a graet looking figure.
Try stripping the paint then sand it and then repaint it.
I need to post my Sideswipe up soon.

I'll take pics of his legs but it's hard to pain since it's black plastcis. I was thinking of using a white base then trying yellow. I also need to go over the grey somemore.

I agree you need to put a base of white down to get a true yellow.
Can't wait to see the additional pics:)

Good timing. I have only managed to do him today because I'm using paint from school (too busy saving for ROTF figures to buy paint) The legs look better but the yellow kept taking of the white base when it was dry. It's probebly the paint. My teacher say it's the plastic but I was thinking "but tons of people paint their TFs". I need to get some pics so I'll post soon. Thanks.

    How about this.
Strip the legs you painted do a lite sanding then paint it white let it dry a day then
    paint it yellow.
I really don't think it is the plastic.

Yeah, the paints stick better. But I have to wait for school again.

I only just learned what primer does. I'm found some good paints and hope to buy them soon.
