Not sure if it was your picture I saw a few weeks ago in a thread, but it inspired me and I did the same...

I was debating getting the Netflix, but I didn't care about the small target masters and didn't want to spend for another identical figure over just the paint, and end up not knowing what to do with the one I already had, as there was nothing wrong with it....

So took my paint out and did it... just with a small brush and didn't take it apart. I went for a more "roughed up" look though.

And it really do look so much better... it's really how he should have been out of the box.. he's 100x better and much more impressive like this.

And now, the more I now look at the Netflix, the more I don't like the way they shaded his legs anyways.

Is that A projected Decepticon logo in the last groupshot? It looks awesome! How did you do it?

Nice, yours came out well also! I agree with the Netflix Megatron comments. I finally had a chance to see it in person at a local walmart. The gunmetal silver used is nice, but the two things I don't like about it are 1) the black scratches on his chest that you can't remove, and 2) how there's an overall fade effect on his legs, his shoulders, his arm cannon, etc. I would have wished they could have used that paint uniformly on all of him and left him clean.

It's a hologram light I bought and incorporated into my display. Behind Starscream there is a hockey puck looking thing which shines LED lights through a slot. Then plugged into that slot is an etched acrylic plate with a design. When the light goes through it, it lights up the display and looks like a hologram. I bought mine off of a generic seller on aliexpress. There's plenty of listings for them.

This one is slightly different than the one I have, but it shares the same general idea, you can get the gist of it by looking at their pictures:

Transformers inspired Decepticon engraved acrylic RGB LED hologram light

I have one for the Autobot side as well :D

You did a great job. It looks so legit.

The only other thing that you could do is make those little sections above his uni-brow colored black. But I could see why you would be hesitant to try and paint it, since the areas are so small, making it easy to accidentally mess up.

What you could do is get the thinnest tipped Micron pen, and just draw them in. There's no way it would ever seriously get smudged, since it's in there deep. And any black that accidentally gets elsewhere, you can just gently wipe it off.

    Thank you!

You're exactly right. The black triangular eyebrow pieces were going to be challenging because it was so narrow to do by hand so I didn't attempt it. I am also a stickler for symmetry and so even if I was able to fill in the recessed cavity, I was fearful of them somehow not looking even. Then I find that when I'm in "fix-it" mode it all starts spiraling out of control for me lol

Thank you for the suggestion, I'll check out the fine tipped paint pens the next time I go to an art store (would be cool just to have some on hand) and give it a try someday if I can build up my confidence to tackle it.
