Downshift arrived today. He is my first Cybertron Transfomer the rest I have are Galaxy Force. But man this guy is awesome I just love his alt. mode as a Hemi Cuda thats is just the greatest idea for a alt mode ever IMO. On a side note Downshifts head looks alot like Primes head.
Great pickup. Now you need to go over to the kitbash forum and do the head mod that lets the head move.
how do you see that?? Look at your pictures... Wheeljack has the same head crest, same "ears" same face, same helmet... prime merely has a crest that is SIMILAR... Andy BTW, thanks for the comments on the head mode
That's awesome, Downshift was my first Cybertron TF as well. Although the rest of my collection consists of Alternators. I now have 3 Cybertrons, Downshift, Thundercracker, and Armorhide.
I agree with the more prime look in the head department, although it looks more like a retooled head of the GF/Cyb Optimus when he is in his super mode. Then again.. maybe its just me..
I just dont see how anyone could think it looks more like prime than wheeljack. the head has the exact same design as wheeljacks. even the pattern on the "ears" is the same, along with the mouthplate.
if you look past the ears downshift looks like the drunken love child of optimus and wheeljack. Even his alt mode is fitting: semi trukk + race car = muscle car
Both Downshift and Prime have protruding side pieces at the side of the mouth(1 & 2). Wheeljack dosnt. Both Downshift and Prime have part of their nose coverd by the Mouthpiece(Circled not numberd). Wheeljack dosnt. Both Prime and Downshift have the same Earpieces that go in a straight down position not at an angle like Wheeljacks(3 & 4). Both Prime and Downshift have similar eyes. Wheeljacks look more Evil in a way. Both Downshift and Prime have a more Square jawline unlike Wheeljack who has an angled inward jaw like an upsidedown triangle. The only real similarity I see of Downshift and Wheeljack are their ears that are on the sides of their heads
what about the faceplates??? and if you're gonna compare downshift to wheeljack, don't you think you should look at the original one? or the Energon "downshift"? or universe? you'll see the recurring features, and I still don't see what you do, I see the same crests on wheeljack, only updated a bit, the main center piece, and the two that curve up on the sides above the ears. and the eyes are nearly the same too, except for the top inside corner.
