I instantly fell in love with the Transformers Prime show the moment I watched the first episode and have attempted to buy all the Prime figures I can. At first I was just buying the figures that appeared on the show but as soon as I saw the Kup prime figure I just knew I had to have it. I really wanted Ironhide but having seen his online price for the Japan version I didnt think I could afford him. So I bought the Kup figure and decided he was going to be first full repainted figure. Before I have bought Transformers and did some minor touch ups with paint but nothing as big.

Also I would just like to say I love all the repaints and custom jobs I have seen on this site and hope with more practice I can get mine to look a little like y'alls. For the paint for my figure I used Silver, Gold, Black and the Red paint markers. I first colored most of the figure with a silver layer, then a black layer once that was dry. Then after the black layer was dry I added red to the place's I thought it would fit best. After all the paint was dry I then tried scraping away a few of the layers away so the silver shined through to give it that battle worn look. I was trying to go for a homage of not only his G1 self but his movie self as well.

Please feel free to tell me what I need to improve on so I can make him better, hope y'all like.

Edited to include vehicle mode, I will say that my paint job on vehicle mode was pretty bad. Hopefully one day if I get better I would like to but this figure again and redo it.

NICE WORK. Love the cannons. Show off vehicle mode now!

Btw, mind giving out a link as to where to get those paint markers you used?

Oh I knew I forgot something! Ok when I get home I will take vehicle mode pics. Also the paint markers that I like to use are these the only downside are that they take forever to dry.

Love the paint scheme. I've wanted to do this for months with my Kup.

Thank ya, I am thinking about buying this figure again and leaving him as Kup but getting a different head for him that looks more like Kup. Also if ya still want to try and paint him I would love to see more variations of Prime Ironhide on here haha.

    Well shoot, that was convenient.

Time to start up on Overload!

EDIT: One more question: if you have the regular Prime Kup, take a pic of him alongside Ironhide.
