So Kup here was my first figure ever when I got back into Transformers and toy collecting in general back in 2011. I have always dug the old timer bots because regardless of their advanced age, they still know how to kick some aft!

The first thing I did, about a year later, was get some silver on his rims and it was noice~! And recently, with my desire to try repaints, I figured I would try making him a blend of the Takara and the Asia Exclusive Kups that came out much later and well out of my price range.....wiiiiiith moderate success. XD

Still needing to work out the best ratio of Acrylic Paint:Floor Polish so I can have smoother paint coats. Been looking at the FAQs and Customs Threads for newbies like me and it helps a lot!

    Anywhos, here he is!

Rather than straight Pledge/Futureshine I use a homemade thinner that's based on it (2 parts Pledge, 1 part distilled water, 1 part iso and a drop of ******ant). Works like a charm and is airbrush friendly if you decide to make the jump. Can also add a little matte agent to bring the gloss down. Picked up a bottle for a few bucks at Michaels a few years ago, still have more than half of it left.

Wow, thanks for the info! :)  I would like to try airbrushing after about a few more months of getting the hang of the brushing style. And now I can look forward to trying out this new ratio. Just a couple of things: What is "iso" meant to be and what kind of ******ants would you recommend? :)

Iso = isopropyl alcohol (isopropanol). For a ******ant you can buy off the shelf but a drop or two of clear Windex has always worked for me. Just be careful not to use too much ******ant or you'll never dry. Might not really need it for brushing if you're doing thin enough layers. I use it more to avoid clogging with my airbrushes than anything.
