So, seeing as I have this BIG backlog of customs to share, most of which are POTP/CW limbs and torsos, I figured I'd just create an all-encompassing thread. I did post about my custom POTP Starscream right here, but I never updated you guys on the full custom combiner, Star Tyrant: The limb-bots are all based off the unproduced G2 Starscream and Ramjet variants. Introducing PLAGUE: Function - Bio-Cybernetic Warfare "Ashes to ashes, rust to rust." NAPALM: Function - Air-cover and ground-assault "Strategy and discipline are the foundations of triumph." DUST DEVIL: Function - Desert warrior "Those who cross me will be ground down into dust." CIRRUS: Function - High-Altitude interceptor "If fear doesn't freeze you in your tracks, I will!" Comments are welcome, more posts coming shortly!
Oh, by the way! The block-based deco on the Naval Ramjet-variant was such a huge pain in the neck to duplicate, that I instead opted for a deco based on Kirby-Dots!
Sneak Peak: CW Thunderclash, the custom that's been done by a bunch of fellow customizers. I opted for a look that hewed closer to the original toy, rather than the IDW version.
Man, I really dig these. As a fan of the Hind, your Deathcobra's really hot. That shapeways kit looks great with all it's parts applied. I really like the Overcast too. Where s that nose cone/cockpit from?
Thanks, Scarlet Knight, Warhawk! As for Deathcobra, the chopper-parts are actually from a model-kit (corrected). But the head is indeed from Steam-Shield's Shapeways shop. The shuttle-parts also came from his Shapeways shop as well. You can grab those here, and here.
Those are all really amazing Can't wait to see more of your stuff. But does Cobra's cockpit partsform?
I love all of the fun takes people are sharing on a Starscream combiner team. It's unfortunate Hasbro and Takara never went back to give him a full team like they did Elita.
Thanks! And yes, the cockpit-cover parts-forms. It stashes in the space right behind his head, behind his back and the tail-section. 1/100 actually I totally agree. I can never get enough combiner-limbs. Thanks much! Thanks you
Alas, no, because I sold him to my friend Steve a few months ago. However, you can see it stashed behind his head here:
Uh, it's between his head and the tail section. Got that wrong before. It actually fits in there without any problems?
