Unfortunately my reviving skillz did the trick, this thing is lot of fun and thus decided to no matter what the cost keep the remote controlled feature intact, since my cat likes to play with it So your looking at getting it more G1 obviously at least the Dino mode Big ASS gun & RAMPS, have no clue how or where to start, but no worries it'll get done! BTW here's little more info on the thing: My Robo Raptor Movie! - YouTube UPDATE1: Well worked on it a little today sadly, the cam is having issues... also managed to make a digibash which I can use to see if it sworking UPDATE2: Have extended the ankles, I wanted it to have the tail lower to the ground and the neck/head section raised. Use 3 Lego blocks on each side, filled it up with hotglue, drilled holes ... well to long story just look at the pics! Only downside it's Gyro calculations are of now but I'm seriously considering taking out the leg electronics and keep the tail, paws, head etc. since this thing can see infrared and hear and then look in you direction and such and can make all sorts of cool moves. just not sure yet, but the benefit might be that I can make a transformation in the saved space and legs.... DILEMMA what to do? *sigh* UPDATE3: I have received a Uber cool and perfect Tricpticon donated from Canada (not sure if he wants to be named?) and finally after placing some sort of search warrant on a Dutch 2nd hand site (MP) I got a reply from someone saying his brother might had a old Tryp lying around somewhere, so I came in contact and got a ugly @$$ DEcolored Trypicon nearly 95% stripped for $50 (dunno if that's much or not, but just couldn't wait any longer ) So can't bl00dy wait to get going and might be able to get somewhere kickin' this weekend.. I have know clue on how to do the accessory's and other TRYP-stuff but will see UPDATE4: Finally getting somewhere started with a Trypticon finger mod! Then started mocking-up a little and I now know for sure this is gonna be real though, guess I'm gonna focus on the RC-dino + autopilot mode UPDATE5: Well no turning back now, hope it still fits will test tomorrow... for now used hotglue to fill in the gaps during trial and error UPDATE6: Well progress is slowly taking shape... not sure on the gun extensions, but they're friction fitted! my back is killing me again, gonna take it little slower next day UPDATE7: Well today I managed to get the back section brutally slashed and bolted on then started doing some work on the head... So I guess the basics of the neck / arms / upper-legs / head / back are done or roughly in fase2, now it will take a pretty long time until I can start on the tail and feet, since that involves putting back all the electronics and try-out then first test-run since the kitbashing started *hope I didn't screw up* Hey look on the bright side if I really do screw up big time I can finally get this this standing more upwards. (cuz the qyro/electronics/ecu calculations only let this thing walk in default config) UPDATE8: A little progress tail-wheels I'm gonna make those snap on and form the wheel of that purple car that's with Trypticon originally (forgot the name)... Not sure if I can manage to fit in the tank somewhere?? but how knows UPDATE9: YES Peepz... I think I'll manage to test fit the electronic when I wake up but 1thing will remain questioned since I don't no the voltage that runs through the legs, my amp-meter is defective and I want the orange circle the light up on action + Light up eyes when it makes all the sounds.. Almost forgot obviously I articulated the elows / fingers (+added articulated extra fingers/nails) / added claws (yes I know there should be a 3rd one in the front and not 2 in the back, but there's no way around this if I want the RC controlls to work propperly) hopefully I'll even find suitable blaster/laser & whatever sounds! PS: If I do destroy the electrics + RC function somehow, I'll go all out and even articulate the knee's & make a great transformation! UPDATE10: Ok now the head looks like a snake, but I had to do this first otherwise I couldn't put togehter and test the RC functions O well then hopefully tomorow and when it does work, well I might reshape the head a little UPDATE11: WOW 1whole f*ckin' day woring on these blasters.... hollowing out the default tripticon thimgs and fitting the leds... real carefully drilling from both side starting with 0.5mm to 4.5mm AND THEN I FUCKED UP!!!!!!!!!! I though it would be cool to fill it with hotglue so it would guide the light and refraction it to the side vent which I also carved out *what a bl00dy work* ... now a you can see the light stay at the start !!! *will drill a small tunnel towards the light from the gun tip, hope it helps * UPDATE12: Good newz and bad newz I love working on this project tested it and worked... UNTIL!!!! I started working on the controller the other day... the idea is: making it into the tank that normally accompanies Trypticon... but somehow while rewiring I messed up... think it's prolly the sending-IR led thingy?? and 2md stupid thing I did was: the day after I forgot I prolly wrecked the IR on the remote... I thought lets push those tiny IR-receiver bulbs out of it's nostrils *crap* I broke both!!! SO NOW IT'S OUT OF CONTROLL although it still functions on SIGHT & response to sounds UPDATE13: Yes I fixed the R/C features and controller... Here's a sneakpreview of a Working Transformable City mode !!!! Next.. rewiring the LED's somehow I f*cked up after that comes a very big step... taking it apart and labeling ARrggggg Cleaning + Painting's last!
You had done confuse me. You wanted to fix the broken tawy, so you tried. Unfortunately you did it, and it's real fun? Didja mean fortunately? As for the ... custom itself, I'm just seeing a disassembled robo-raptor right now sooooo.... Can't say much there yet.
I think he was hoping the RoboRaptor was beyond repair to make the base mode easier, but his mad repairing skills brought it back to life. I think. This looks promising. And huge. Quite huge indeed.
Assuming you ever get this finished, it will be awesome. It's just a matter of getting it finished... Still, i like the looks of it so far. Still needs a lot of work to make the Dino slightly more G1 (it's a bit too sleek right now), but it's early days. Keep it up!
