The ER vets aren't answering the phone. What should I do? He's not moving either, I picked him up and he's like putty. Just lying there. He's missing most his hair on his back. He's an outdoor cat. Is there someway to ease his pain? I mean even if it's until he dies from the pain? BTW it's Thanksgiving here in the USA, so no regular vet. Everything on google said "take him to the vet right away" when I searched for answers. I can't do that til tomorrow, but he's going to wake the neighborhood.... Also I have stuff that I use on the horse for when he rips out chunks of hair and bleeds (Which horses do alot). Any animal experts know if it's ok to use on the cat? EDIT: We got him to the ER vet and they had to put him down. They said a car hit him and too much was broken inside.

Poor baby. I'm so sorry you had to put him down, but it was probably the most humane thing to do. It sounds like he was attacked by another animal. I know this isn't for me to say, but this is why I don't let my cats outside. There's just too much that can hurt them out there. Please don't take this as me judging you or anything, because I'm not. Keeping my kitties inside is a personal preference - I just wish more people would follow suit. Again, I'm so sorry this happened, and I'm honestly glad that you were able to get him to the vet so they could at least ease his pain in the end. ;__;
He was hit by a car. I would totally never let my cat outside, my other cats stayed inside. This one though we found him, and he just would not come in. He comes back to be fed and just sits on the stoop and sleeps. If I brought him in he would scream and howl and bash his body into the door VIOLENTLY. He just wanted to be outside.
My condolences. Very sorry to hear this Its never easy to go through these things. But at least your cat is no longer in pain. Rest in Peace kitty
Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. That must be a horrible time for you right now, but at least your poor cat isn't suffering any more and that's the important thing. You have my sympathies.
Thanks, I know, he is not in pain anymore. Thanks for your help before., I am glad I finally got in touch with one of the ER places though or else I'd try to be cleaning his cuts thinking he got into a fight instead of hit by a car. And he'd be suffering.
So sorry to hear this. I know how hard it is to have one of your pets die. But it was probably best that he be put down. I don't think any animal could survive being hit by a car. My condolences.
So Sorry to hear that they put down your cat. I know I have 3 as well and they are my best friends so I can understand how you must feel right now. Nothing will replace your best friend that is your cat but at least you can remeber the good times you had with him/her. Thats what my mom tells me when I think about my othe cat that died in 07'.
Thanks everyone. I mean I'm upset, but I am very happy that I was able to care for him the time I had him. He was a good boy.
I don't blame you for being upset cause I would be too. You have my condolences as a guy with 3 cats and would love to have more but apt manager won't let me.
