So my cat has been eating/drinking very little if any. I've been feeding him milk with a syringe and I think eventually he'll be okay, he's acting completely normal also, playful as usual, not acting sick (though obviously he could be) except for his diet. Any ideas? I really can't afford a vet right now.

When was the last time it ate?

I know you mentioned that you can't afford to see a vet, but you really need to see one. My cat went on a hunger strike a few months back. She hadn't eaten for three days, so we took her to the vet and had her tested for all kinds of things. The vet couldn't explain why she wasn't eating. Nothing seemed wrong with her. After two more days, they put her on different antibiotics and told us that if she didn't start eating within the next three days, we would have to put her down. On the third day, she ate her first meal in over a week. The antibiotics worked.

He seems a little better already. He actually woke me up drinking his water and he ate a little of his food. Still gonna give him milk and try him with some soft food. I think he's gonna be fine. :D

That's good to hear! One of my cats stopped eating a while back, but after a couple of days he started eating again. No idea what causes it.

I hate to hear that. My buddy's not out of the woods yet, but I'm pretty positive he will be okay.

Suzy did this once, we took her to the Vet and she was tested for all sorts of things but nothing showed on the tests. The Doc later told us that cats just come down with these mysterious odd fevers and we need to support their systems to get them over it.
