    Never had the chance to see them. I read that they were turned off because of Comic Con. Why is that? That is stupid to do that because of the convention.

    If you had actually read the thread Joe linked you to, you would have seen the reasons for turning them off:

    Ok, if you want to be insulting about it, I'm not going to bother explaining it to you. You can just wait until they're turned back on.

    EDIT;
    Or you can let someone else do the simple clicking of provided links that you were more than capable of doing yourself.

    Have you ever heard of a forum banning a guy for an avatar image of a robot fondling imaginary labia?

    Across all of our Network Sites, we had as many at 5,000-7,000 people online at a time, and that's only from the sections that add to our "Currently Active Users". That didn't include non-network sites on our server, or sections of those sites (like galleries and resources) that don't show up in the "Currently Active Users" list. And those get some significant traffic, especially the galleries.

    We did what we had to do to ensure the site wouldn't be down for the entire SDCC. And those steps we took paid off as the site wasn't down nearly as much as it had been in the past during SDCC.

    Agreed. Your avatar is not really appropriate for the forums and it needs to be changed.

    No I have not heard that.

    Now I know why that had to happen.

    What was not appropriate? The avatar I used was this one:

    [IMG]

    So whats innappropriate about it?

    That is not your current avatar. Your current avatar is a female transformer simulating masterbation. If it is not changed when you next log in, it will be changed for you and an infraction will be given for an inappropriate avatar as well as ignoring staff instructions to change it.
