So, seeing as I've pretty much posted all my other finished work to date, I figured I was about done. Then I saw this guy sitting on my shelf and remembered "Hey! I made that!" Here we have Bowser! So this is simply a few Dungeons & Dragons miniatures mashed together, but maybe not in the way you'd expect. When I first saw the mini, I was simply going to assemble it and paint him up as Mario 1 sprite Bowser, in all his bald glory. Maybe give him a crown, like in the old Super Mario Super Show? Then I remembered having a really unsatisfying Fire Elemental Familiar mini, and suddenly my Bowser was Mario 3 Bowser. Well, I couldn't just leave it at that, could I? Not with a weapons pack hanging around that included a rounded, double-bladed axe (also, the added weight on his noggin made an already precarious balancing act now completely unable to stand on its own). All I needed now was a bridge to stick it into. While rifling through my tilesets, I realized I had these odd plastic tiles that interlocked, and had a cobblestone pattern. They didn't match anything else I had, and I don't remember where they came from, but with the right paint job, they looked sufficiently molten enough for my purposes. A few chopped down popsicle sticks, some fancy eyelet pins, and one old chain bracelet later, and bam, bridge over lava. Oh, I also stuck a clipped flathead nail through the base and bored a hole in his foot so he could attach to the base and not fall over.
Nice of the princess to invite us over for a picnic, eh, Luigi? I hope she made lots of spaghetti! Luigi, look! It's from Bowser. “Dear pesky plumbers: The Koopalings and I have taken over the Mushroom Kingdom. The Princess is now a permanent guest at one of my seven Koopa hotels. I dare you to find her if you can.” We've got to find the Princess. And, you've got to help us. If you need instructions on how to get through the hotels, check out the enclosed instruction book.
Haha, what the hell, man Well the mini itself is a Reaper minis Dragon Turtle, while the hair and eyebrows were from a four-pack of lesser elementals. The fire one suited my needs just fine. The rest of the kit was described in the primary post.
Hotel mario on the phillips cdi was a mario game produced by philips to run on their home entertainment system. It's not a good game, and the cutscenes look like they were made in ms paint, and has hilariously bad voice acting. It has become a staple of 2008 youtube, and one of the first emergent trends in ytp posting, If you need to see it for yourself, I suggest you check out the two cdi zelda game's cutscenes.
Oh, no, I know all about those gems, I was more questioning your obscure choice of quotation. I CAN'T WAIT TO BOMB SOME DODONGOS
