I had been waiting for the 25th anniversary Uni for awhile. Unfortunately he sold out very quick. So I decided to do a custom with an old Armada Uni that was laying around. This is my 1st pic and once I recieve his waist pieces and planet pieces, Ill post alot more ( robot & planet modes).
Id like to thank Nellie131 for helping me out by giving me a great deal on some missing pieces I needed. As well as Unicron-9 for giving me some pointers. (Im sure Ill be asking for more)
Although its not perfect Im pretty happy with how he turned out so far. After examining the 25th Ann. Uni I must say hes not that great in my opinion. Hes too shiny and cartoony looking as well as his face looks nice and happy....neither of which is Unicron. I am going for an ancient looking aesthetic and a menacing face. Hes not perfect by any means and Ive got alot to learn. But I think for my 1st time ever to customize a TF ...I did pretty good.

Wow! He is looking FANTASTIC! If I may make a suggestion, it would be to try and blackline the details in the chest panels. They are nicely visible, but the chest looks a little too clean in comparison to all the detailed lines on the rest of the upper body.

Still, for a first custom, it is a very, VERY good one!

Man I really like it! Came out great. I especially like the black edge wear all over the... edges of things. Did you get that tacky rubbery plastic problem fixed?
Ha I see you did my collar thing too. You could thicken up the front with sculpt so it doesn't look paper thin. I used part of a spray paint cap with sculpt.

 

Ya I stripped the rubber peices again and its not bad at all. ( still has the rubbery feel to it and depending on the temp...well u know how painted rubber acts lol ) But ya Ive been meaning to talk with you . I really want to get into the sculpt thing I hear u talking about. Where do I get it and whats it called? Does it set itself after youve gotten the final form sculpted or do u have to fire it? Anyways ...thanks for the compliment it means alot coming from someone with skillz like you.

 

At first glance I thought you only did some lining on Amazon's Unicron exclusive... then I read that you took an old Armada one and painted it to resemble the Amazon exclusive. Very taxing work... but I must say it paid off. Great first custom.
