Is this guy worth getting Because i found him for like $50's off i dont really need the mp3 part but the fact i dont own a g1 soundwave/soundblaster really makes me wonder if hes worth the $58.

Dude, for $50 off, and the price of $58 with the $50 off, that's an amazing deal. First, I'd recommend never buying from whoever has the nuts to charge $108 for that toy. It's worth $40 at best, that's the price I saw it for at TFCon, heck, that's even in CAD.

Second, aim for the Spark Blue. For $50. That's the best price, it's not worth any more.

 

Yeah, the black one you can get for $40-$50. The blue one is still a little pricier. Personally, I don't like the white one, not even as shatteredwave.

 

I think I paid $60 for my Spark Blue at Botcon. Fits right in with the Classics / Universe so he's good in my book. Definitely would not recommend going up to these $80+ prices around and about, though.

 

I paid $90 for mine   Got it via a pre-order. There was no way of knowing he'd be a shelfwarmer back then.

He's worth the $50 easy! One of my favorite Transformers by far.

Im getting the spark blue (real soundwave) one, and the G1 style Optimus Prime Ipod dock. Digital toys is sold out on the Prime, and i still need to buy some ROTF stuff before i get these.

 

I got the 25th anniversary prime so I went with the white ipod dock even though my ipod's black. Are the G1's still going for ~$100 shipped?

Thats a good thing because he sucks as an mp3 player. That is an excelent price for him.

I got mine for 90-100 when it was just out. I don't regret it but a lower price for it would have been better considering the sub-par gimick.

Its a nice figure but its funny that it has the same problem as the G1 Soundwave - his knees are not tight enough. My one tends to fall backwards.

Not true, this is hit and miss. Mine is superb in every aspect, the sound is very high quality. I him recommend for both Transformer and mp3 player (and use him for both often!)

 

I got mine for $30 from HLJ when they were having their big sale not long ago. MP3 player is ok, not great, but the figure is awesome.

And just because his MP3 player is only mediocre doesn't mean he can't rock!
