80s pop music that I hated as a kid. Kanye West- dude's an asshole, but he makes some great albums. Lady Gaga's first album.
I would bet she uses an auto-tune type program (read: pitch correction) on every song that is recorded for her album. Auto-tune doesn't necessarily have to sound like T-Pain. If you watch her sing live her vocals are all over the place (and not in a good way). Anyway, "studio magic" is the way of the pop music world.
80's and early 90's rap and hip-hop. Back in the day's when it actually had rhythm you could dance too. Or at least gyrate your body in a drunken disorderly fashion.
Katy Perry. It started off as a joke because I thought she was hot. Then one day I......I actually really really liked her music.
Britney, i said it, BUT only that new song Till The World Ends. I like Katy Perry and listen to her but i'm not guilty about it
J: Ain't it the truth, though? I love threads like this because 1. I can brag about my unspeakable taste in music and 2. I come away with lots of things to add to the Lovecraftian abomination of it all. This place has a lot of influence there...you can blame Autobot Burnout for the Vocaloid tracks in the collection, ZUDON introduced me to Korean pop...I've been taking notes while reading this thread... Of course, calling it a guilty pleasure would imply that I had shame, when in fact I do not. Now, if you've made it this far, some incriminating mixes. Exhibit A. 1 - Kon Kan's "I Beg Your Pardon" 2 - Somebody's awesome remix of the Metalman theme 3 - Secession's "Magician" 4 - Chisato Moritaka's "Bye bye" 5 - Akie Yoshizawa's "Toshyokan no koibito" 6 - Akiko Kuina's "Tyranno Rock" 7 - Kon Kan's "Liberty" 8 - Cetu Javu's "Situations" 9 - Joy Division's "Love will tear us apart" 10 - Chisato Moritaka's "Overheat Night" 11 - Chisato Moritaka's "A kun no higeki" 12 - Chisato Moritaka's "Wakareta onna" 13 - Kon Kan's "Move to move" 14 - Laserdance, "Power run" 15 - Kon Kan's "I Beg Your Pardon", extended version. So I was on a bit of a Kon Kan and Chisato Moritaka kick, that day. Here's one with a little more variety: Exhibit B. 1 - Chisato Moritaka's "17 sai" 2 - Disko Punks - "To France" 3 - Miku Hatsune - "Heaven is a place on earth" cover 4 - The Peabodys - "It only hurts when I think" 5 - Camper van Beethoven - "Lassie went to the moon" 6 - Lale Andersen, "Lili Marlene" 7 - Earthshaker, "More" 8 - Xin Hay Thu Tha, "My apology" 9 - Janet Jackson, "Nasty" 10 - Disko Punks - "Never" 11 - Siouxsie - "Peek a boo" 12 - Afrika Bambaataa, "Planet Rock" 13 - Kamui Gakupo, "Dancing Samurai" 14 - Lee Jyng Hyun, "Summer Dance" 15 - Rosanne Cash, "Tennessee Flattop Box" 16 - Prince, "When Doves Cry" 17 - Device, "Who says" 18 - Stan Bush, "Your Time" I also inherited my grandfather's 78 rpm polka records from his days as a DJ in Pittsburgh. Apparently nobody else wanted them...so awesome they are.
No way man! I used to hide behind the excuse of "Hayley Williams is hot", when being ripped on by my mates though, when I first started listening to them.
I've listened to a number of different music genre through the years on the radio. From alternitive, big band, classical, country, hip-hop, jazz, metal, oldies, pop, rap, r&b, and rock. To me it's like anything else in this world if you like it more power to you. People can take their negativity and shove it. Right next to the stick already up their backside.
