which makes me wonder--in the cartoon or whatever media I'm sure is associated with these guys, what exactly is it that they DO?
There's another set of 9 for sale on eBay for about a BIN about $90 I think. I got my set of 8 for $69 shipped.
Well. Machine Robo Rescue had an anime series, Mugenbine does not. But the Machine Robo Rescue special episode firmly places Mugenbine as the same continuity. So I'd guess you can see them as next-generations rescue force. The toys themselves now are only advertised on TV commercials, in hobby magazines and through nondescript comic strips. Nothing concrete.
Haha, sorry. Was a long night. My brain isn't working right. I'll give it a second go: For those that recently got their mugenbine toys, how do you guys rate these toys? Worth it? I'm still hooked on them.
I've been collecting them for a couple months now. I love each and every one that I have. I want more!
that's the exact same set that I got, same seller too. they're great, quick shipping, and the $90 is with shipping. the toys are great! I look at them like little puzzles, and not look at the instructions to see how to put them together, just the pics on the box. it kinda sucks that every base humanoid-robot is the same mold except for the head, and that the differences all boil down to the parts that snap on, but they're not TRANSFORMERS, and don't pretend to be. the fact that some of them combine into bigger robots was an added bonus that I didn't know about till I received them.
oh... so they don't transform at all... i was wondering about that... so you put them together like legos depending on which mode you want? that's a very interesting twist and not a bad idea. i like it.
Oh I've used them a couple of times, but I am trying to find a cheaper way to get them. I was just curious. Was that the set that was 3000 yen? I like all of the Mugenbine sets. Some are better than the others IMO but even the ones I don't like as much have their own charm. The core robot does transform into a cube and all have the same transformation. You then attach the parts onto pegs that stick out from the core bot or other parts.
Yeah the only one I'm missing from that set of 9 is Air Leone. For some reason I couldn't find him on eBay either.
He is a wee bit harder to come by than the other 8 but not much. If you look around on e-bay, you can find him. Do a search for 'Machine Robo' and soft through everything and you might find one.
Ahh. So more would come up if I just did the search for Machine Robo? So far all the searches I've done were for Mugenbine or Machine Robo Mugenbine.
I have done said search and found more that were listed simply under 'machine robo' not under 'mugenbine'. There are not many but there are a couple that may be worth looking into.
Also Assault Leon, a blue repaint of Air Leon with guns is also available and might be a bit easier to find.
