Fellow TFWer @TheSuperion requested a a kit to turn RiD Windblade into Anode. I love the idea so much decided to give this figure a full make over. We bounced some ideas on whether the wings should be accurate to the alt mode or the bot mode, since the transformation scheme is not like the comic drawing (where the main wings fold into her legs and the "wing" on the back are tail fins). We eventually settled on a nicer bot mode. The kit replaces RiD figure's wings and the entire nosecone including cockpit is replaced with a new engine resembling the comic. The outer shell of the engine part-form into Anode's skirt/utility belt. Hope you like the concept!
Dang it. I wasn't going to make Anode or Lug for my shelf, but now I'm going to have to think about it... Looks awesome man!
Very very cool, Lug and Anode are two of those characters I really wish Hasbro would make proper toys of. The skirt is a very creative kibble approach and works rather well even though it's a deviation from the comic. I'll be following this post with interest! Our of curiosity, do you have any plans for Lug and/or making it possible for Anode to carry Lug in her alt mode on Anode's robot mode back like I think they do in the comic sometimes?
I wish this was available when I did mine. It would have at least saved me so much work modding a head and looks better anyway.
