Except at least Pipes had his whole "I've never really travelled before" bit of history. Riptide... I have no idea what his deal is.

 

Agreed. All we know is he's someone who never had a life before the war.

 

Riptide is a cool designed robot that turns into boat. How many TF put into prominence that are boats? Nautica and Riptide are filling that niche.

 

I'd prefer a good character over a gimmick that so far has been used all of once in the story... and all he did was sit in a bay for a panel.

 

I have to throw my vote in with "Riptide is pointless," too. I was wondering a couple issues ago what he served. I don't *know* him, or anything about him. I keep forgetting who he is and having to remind myself "right, that's Riptide."

Anyway this issue was the fucking awesome and I love it. It wrapped up SO MUCH. And in a lot of ways, I'm glad. So many of the initial Lost Light mysteries are now wrapped up. That means we can move on --- and that's what I'm excited for, because there is so much to do.

I seriously wish this book did two issues a month, or a spotlight every month featuring a Lost Lighter. There are too many great stories to cram into one monthly.

 

So questions:

1. The replacement spark for Megatron. Does that change Megatron at all or will he have still made the same journey to the present Lost Light version of himself?
2. Is that Rung being tortured at the end? Implications?
3. Still no closer to completing their mission it would seem. Will they even do that?
4. It seems that MTMTE could stay apart from Combiner Wars unless The Lost Light makes a return to Cybertron.

 

Still the same Megatron. It's a closed time loop. As I said earlier, picture who Rewind killed as someone entirely different from Megatron. "Joetron" was always killed by Rewing, he was killed then, and now. And Whirl always placed Megatron spark in "Joetron's" body.

I don't know, but I think Rung's form activates something important.

My guess is not for a while.

I think one of the descriptions of a CW comic is that the LL comes in as "reinforcement" not sure, need to check.

 

Yes. Actually a bit sad that we never got a chance to really see how the original Megatron faded into nothingness.

Maybe in the Functionists Timeline he is the good leader, but dies and our Megatron replaces him. And then the rest the other guy already mentioned as an idea that leads to the Shattered Glass Universe *g*

It kind of really irks me. What right did he have to play God and annihilate an entire timeline? And then it all kind fo got brushed aside with "Aw he called Chromedome Domey again! How adowable!"...

 

Riptide is the new guy. Of course he does not much right now. He needs to find his place in the team.

Hot Spot, Groove, and First Aid need to get to Cybertron in order to form Defensor. I don't know where Blades and Rook are.

Well, when given a decision point like that, only one timeline survives no matter which choice is made... normally. So picking the one with the least deaths makes sense.

Though as we learned, he in fact didn't kill a timeline, he simply quashed a spark before it could be activated.

Regardless of the time travel thing, he did also poison much of the crew and disabled Ultra Magnus.

A bit of a houdini for Rewind, but Brainstorm did earn some brig time before even activating the briefcase.

Luckily for him, the timeline he wanted to enforce, but then accidentally destroyed by killing the 'wrong' Megatron, was still preserved in the end...  



Does anyone know what happened to SMOG? He seems to have vanished a while back, always enjoy reading his opinions on this book.

The list was Hound, Chromedome, Dipstick, Drift, UltraMagnus and Flywheels.

All the others are on the LL and are alive, so why is he adding Flywheels?

 

As for what right... he's literally the only person with in depth knowledge of both timelines, and is directly affected either way.

Among the factors he had to have factored in, is knowing he'd die and Dominus would get mutilated in the Functionist timeline.
