CP needs to do some explaining....Why a pre-order? Why the increase in cost?

 

$85 online vs $80 at the 'con? Not gonna fret too much about that. Especially since the other versions of Striker sell for as much/more.

Preorder is likely because other people had the problem I had at first, ie could load the cart but neither card nor Paypal worked.

 

Its a small amount but they should have been upfront about it. Also, why pre-orders when they stated they have leftover stock?

 

I'm going to not look the gift horse in the mouth, especially since this is below the price of Striker Manus originally, and it's only five bucks. It did on the sign say "$80 for Attendees." It's a preorder right now, for those who don't know, because TCP hasn't gotten home yet. They're seeing some sights in Cali as a family today it seems, so worry not everyone!

 

79.99 is the same price Striker always been. And the versions that cost more, come with more. I'm not complaining but I do think its fair to ask that they should have been straight up about the increase and pre-order when they posted yesterday. Especially when Customer Service is stated as their #1 priority.

People who bought at the con probably had to pay california tax of around 10%, so if what others paid really fucking bothers you, have that to feel better

They probably increased that price by $5 because that Promo code of HOME of $5 off an order leaked out.
I will tell you this, I would had gladly paid the additional $5 to order the figure online. I don't think I will go to another TFCON. 1 was enough as there really isn't too much to do. $5 is cheap considering my ticket was $35 then add in 2 hour drive time total costing $12 in gas, and spending like no other at the con on exclusives and Miline's art. The only two things I went for for the con were the exclusives and the 3rd party panel, and the panel slides are loaded online basically right after the panel, I find that going to the con was a good experience, but those funds and time could have been used better elsewhere.
I would consider yourself lucky getting off only paying $5 extra.
As for it being a preorder, Brandon said that he was going to vaca for a couple of days in SoCal before heading back to AZ, and he currently has the left over stock with him, so he can't ship them out until he gets back to AZ.
Just be glad that you don't have to pay scalper prices on ebay or have to resort to buying one from overseas. For my second Maestro I think I ended up paying like $160 shipped from action robo, and trust me that stung a bit.

 

I don't doubt that. I don't think I will ever go to TFCon unless it comes closer to my area. The coupon explains it and I get it. I'm not calling for pitchforks. I still believe it wasn't unreasonable for them to explain that. As for scalpers, I haven't seen much with this figure compared to previous years. I've even got a few offers over the weekend for this figure that wasn't outrageous and that I would have gladly paid if this was sold out. I'm glad its not though.

 

Is this where I come to bitch that there has been a $5 price increase after TCP has hauled everything to the Con, unpacked it, displayed it, packed it back up and drove it home again? Because there is definitely no way they should put a dollar value on their own time or provide a slight price cut for the people who actually paid to attend the Con that this was an exclusive for.

 

Now... how about a Blue Buster to match for TFCon DC?

 

This will be my first experience with this mold. I really like this deco and obviously have heard good things about the mold.

I’m interested to see if there are any add-ons for the other TFCons.
