I haven't seen the movie yet but I just found this review this morning which doesn't make it seem great. I hope it is wrong but thought I would share what I read. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009) - Critics' Reviews - MSN Movies
I actually agree with most of what this guy says. But it's not your opinion, it's his. Watch the movie and decide for yourself if it's good or not. Only you can decide that.
A harsh review, and I haven't seen the film yet, but atlleast this review seems to come from an intelligent person. As opposed to this: Marc Fennell: transformers: revenge of the fallen (reviewed on triple j) Don't review films unless you can criticize the down points (the MSN Movies review, while giving the film negative liking, still seemed a good review.)
nothing meets the eye? plenty meets the eye! COMPLETE SENSORY OVERLOAD! the movie is over the top in effects, I would have to say to many effects. It's alright though
I think the movie was good the effects were uncrediable and i really don't care about the plot that much
I really get the feeling Bay screwed up with alot of the critics ( the people themselves ) for Revenge of the Fallen. - Too long? WHAT!? It's 3 minutes longer. - Robots fighting now, steady cam. YEAH! But, again ... it's crap according to them - Megatron is now a bitch? What? D'oh! Use to ABUSE. - Lame story, did TF 2007 differ from this? It's a 100% action movie. Screw story. The fan-base is ONCE again divided 50/50. Strange thing is that critics who said the first lacked the above points now want more-of-the-same like TF 2007. Strange ...
Do we really need a serperate thread for every review? Especially if they are all saying the same thing?
steady cam? which movie did you watch? I almost got dizzy from the shaking and constant motion blur on them
You're basically implying that anyone who enjoys watching flashy CGI robots without seeking a deeper meaning in a movie is demented ? Its amazing how many ******s there are in this world who have the "if anyone likes this, they must be stupid" kind of thinking. Nobody said you couldn't dislike a film. Its entirely up to you if you don't like it, but keep it at that. To say that if others like it, they must be mentally challenged or something, then you're no better than the very people you belittle.
I just cant ... seem to ... I dont know. People liked Wolverine MORE then Revenge of the Fallen? There's something with Michael Bay and critics that dont seem to mix well I'm afraid 30% at RottenTomatoes is just harsh... Hell, they prefer happy-crappy Pixar movies with the same story all the time over an action-fest. It make's me pissed ... why.
Gear down big rig! You're being an ass for no legitimate reason, you're entitled to your opinion but you don't need to insult people for liking things you find trivial.
Unfortunately, some people see themselves as the centre of the universe. "If I hate it, everyone else must. If they don't, then they're stupid/******ed" That kind of thinking reveals a lot about you. While you may try to portray yourself as superior, I see you as a downright ****** whom I would categorize lower than a garden snail.
