I know... it was an Infinity War Drax reference.

I wondered the exact same thing. Who knows?
I heard that XTB designers have done at least one 1 face sculpt for FansToys. Remember FT Willis' cream/light green colored face? It looks just like something from XTB. I wouldn't be surprised if designers from one company do work for another company.

I like it. It does feel like a combo of G1 with the bulk of the machinima Optimus.

If their legends are expensive, I brace for the price on this.

Yeah, that's the one thing that's got me concerned, especially when their Inferno and Grapple are about $40ish a piece.

With no probably no trailer, I wouldn't want to spend over $110.

A mix of both would be ideal. As usual....

Man... You must be blind. No Gorilla arms, No stumpy Legs, perfect proportions all around, no kibble anywhere...

You must be one of those TT fans that always call the TT version better even if it has a giant gapping hole in the chest

Nah, Magic Square is even bulkier then the Machinima Version.. IDK, if they slimmed him down, he'd be a contender to knock out MP v3

Or I’m just a dude with his own opinion. You’re a remarkably poor judge of what I am, I haven’t bought a takara toy since mp12.

Legends toys tend to be disproportionately expensive given their size. DX9 stuff goes for $50 or more.
I think it comes down to manufacturing costs. So much of the cost is tied up in design, moulding, prototyping and factory/assembly time. The actual cost of materials is low. That means when you scale something up the cost doesn’t increase proportionately. A figure twice the size of a Legends toy doesn’t cost twice as much to produce. And the big leader bots and the like are even cheaper to produce.
If it costs $25 to make a legends toy, you have to sell for $50 to make a $25 profit. An MP may cost $40 to make and can sell for $100, so suddenly your making $60 profit. And a leader like Optimus may cost $60 to make and can sell for $150, giving $90 profit. (NB: all these numbers are made up and arbitrary, I have no idea of actual costs for these things. And this is a very simplified explanation, the actual production chain is way more complicated with profits split between various levels. But the basic idea holds true.)

That’s why smaller stuff can cost so much and also why larger MP scale stuff is more appealing to a manufacturer. If often just comes down to how much profit per unit they can make
