Alt mode reminds me of Dutch’s with the thick back end. I like it. Looks like a fun chunk of a truck to roll around.

that torso does not look cartoon in anyway shape or form the only thing that looks a bit like the cartoon is the back of the torso .. the chest sticks out too far .... the lower legs and arms look like the cartoon which i said i prefered over ms

 

If that other Prime doesnt have white hips and legs, this is mine. The $130 price tag doesnt seem that bad.

 

Have to agree that the alt mode looks awful as fuck . Maybe even worse than MP-10 alt mode..

 

I'm liking this more than I thought.

My plan was to have this be bot mode and MP-10 be alt mode with trailer anyway.

It was supposed to be a joke, cuz the back half of the truck is so thick. But now the joke is ruined cuz I helped explain it.

I had not paid attention to the fact that they use/rely on the ab crunch to give him a squatting pose. That's not boding well for forward hip/thigh movement.

 

That's an old prototype. Since then they've reworked the hip skirt from being one solid piece into three pieces, so the hips likely won't be restricted.

Plus, Magic Square loves them some ab crunch poses. They use the ab crunch as often as they possibly can.

 

At the risk of sounding as it will, I will believe when I see it.

 

The back is extremely thick and disproportionate (likely more so than MP-10) and there are gaps between the legs and the crotch piece, which they complete failed to hide well. This really killed it for me.. Many are going to say they don't care since they're only going to display him in robot mode... But I cant accept that. There's absolutely no excuse for them to not get both modes right and make both look great.

The robot mode is a win - extremely clean with very few panel lines. But they seriously need to go back to the drawing board with the truck mode.
