He shouldn't have to scattergun the store through 25 different methods to find the one channel that elicits a response.

I appreciate all your guys' help but don't want to distract any further from the topic of the thread; I just wanted to relay my personal opinion of an online retailer that someone asked about.

Regarding this figure, I have the MS-B18X+ and I do worry that a similar paint scheme at this MP-scale will be prone to paint chipping. Even just one transformation of my B18X+ had a little minor paint chipping, and some of the tolerances didn't seem adjusted for the extra layer of paint. I do love how it looks (esp with MS's metallic Megatron), though now I wonder if it would look weird with IT-01. What do people think would pair with an extra metallic MS-01? Magten KO? MP36+?

Would some top coat help with the paint scraping?

I was bummed to have bought a vanilla magic square prime off of robo base but maybe I'll keep it as the one to fiddle with while the new metallic version sits in a glass case.

I'd like to see picturs of this. Maybe improved the alt-mode somewhat or colourless windows.

Yes, a hard coat of enamel (spray or airbrush), but we careful with the tolerances if the pieces are already tight. But sincerely, I think you won't need it, almost all the MPM figures have silver areas and it's hard to peel off.

I wish a groin piece, a proper matrix chamber and new head with larger faceplate.

My standard MS-01 came in today. On hand, I really like the matte color scheme even though I thought I was going to regret it. I was torn between this and the Transform Element, but now that he's here I am most certainly going to keep him. Awesome robot mode. I really should have gotten him sooner.

It's interesting how MST listed a new improved version of the metallic version for this month, but there's no pictures yet... And I pre-order it.

I'm really hoping the "improved" means it's based on their 2.0 Light of Justice. Probably not happening this month if we haven't seen pics yet.

So late to the party. I was thinking about updating my MP-10. Was looking at MP-44, but the transformation is a non-starter, and TE is too cartoon. I love how Magic Square has a MP-10 Transformation and I love the metallic version and I'm looking to get MP-36 a buddy.

So here are my two questions

    1. Is the metallic version hold up to regular fiddling? I like to pose and transform my figures back and fourth.
    2. How much is the estimated cost of the new metallic versiom? I want to preorder him, but don't want to get stuck with a $200 bill.

    Thanks folks.

I have the metallic version and it's a great figure. Very sturdy construction and materials. I think he runs about 200 these days but a great piece IMO. Looks a bit more heroic then mp 44 IMO

    Something else to consider...
Before there was Magic Square's Light of Freedom there was Magic Square's Light of Justice which is their legends scale line.
Now there is talk of a Light of Justice 2.0
So if the pattern holds we can expect a Light of Freedom 2.0

I think Light of Freedom was really a one-time thing, why else would they not do a MP-scaled Megatron, Starscream etc.?

Not every manufacturer is trying to provide the entire cast of the cartoon.

All I know is that the first one sold like hotcakes so from a business standpoint it seems pretty foolish IMO for them not to make a second go at it especially if all they have to do is upscale a pre-existing design.

I may be wrong but LoF probably sold mostly because it was stylized unlike MP-44 and TE-01 who were more cartoon-accurate, and I can't really explain it but only doing two Optimuses and no one else just feels really wrong to me.

Huh, more possible options. So long as tge figure is fun to transform.

I think they were answering the alternative market to the high price of MP-44. I don't think you see a MP Megatron or MP Starscream because those MPs are pretty damn good.
