I’ve had nothing but speedy deliveries with the many orders I’ve placed direct with Magic Square. The only issue I’ve had was the busted smokestack on Prime but they sent two with another figure I’d ordered and I had them within a week (to the UK).

Can’t fault them really and I’ll always order from them even if they’re a couple of quid more as I want to support them as much as possible.

Totally agree! Seekers and Sideswipe (all of whom I own) are by far their most poorly designed figures, that is compared to the awesomeness of their others. I’d have loved a 2.0 version of all of these.

 

Bumblebee is worse for me, couldn't even do alt mode.

 

I was happy enough with all of those, but Cliffjumper was the deal breaker that forced me to start integrating NA figures into my MS display. That one was a total fail.

 

His head. Still the worst looking head they've created to this day. I didn't have much of a problem with anything else about him. Replace the head and I'd be totally happy with him. Same with Bumblebee.

 

Because he's a half-assed retool, the transformation prevents him from having a show-accurate color scheme in robot mode, while the alt mode is forced to have extra windows and clown car proportions. Not even one of the modes came out looking right.

I actually found Bumblebee passable, but I had to replace him anyway so he'd match Cliffjumper.

 

I have a few orders open with them and none of them have moved since Thanksgiving weekend, so it's not just you.

 

I ordered stuff on November 20th, and while they were separate orders they ended up all in one box yesterday upon arrival.

 

Interesting, ordered tapes and doomsday on the same say, black Friday, but only one is on the move. Wonder if they are actually both

 

I hope we get a premium painted non metallic version. That white is so iconic, especially on his cannon. Silver is good, but its just missing me a little.

 

Has anyone got a shot of Sideswipe alongside some of the newer Magic Square releases they’d be able to share please, just to understand how he scales.

 

He’s the same size as the other carbots, Prowl, Jazz, Hound etc. He is in scale with the newer releases, no worries there.

I had mine yesterday, LOVE the new face sculpt. But I’m not a fan of the excessive silver. I miss the white. I’m sure many will love the rich, glossy red paint, but I prefer the matt finish as all my other figures are matt. Also I do like the metallic blue repainted windows, more inline with the latest releases.

Also should note it's not painted black around the eyes, that's just a shadow. And yes it does fit perfectly, and easily, onto the old figure.

 

I didn’t realize they updated it with silver, glossy red, and a new face. I may have to consider it now. Proportionally, it looks a lot like MP-12 with the broad chest and smallish head, but that’s ok because I still like that figure.

I’ll ultimately be far more interested in NA’s (EX) version, though that design is still in the rumor/render stage and is probably a ways off. In the meantime, I’m lacking a legends Sideswipe and the Lambos are pretty iconic to my childhood experience. Feels like a “should-buy”.

 

Wish we would have gotten a V2 because MS stepped up their game since this guy released but the new head improves a lot.

 

This is a bummer. Like you I too prefer the matte finish.

 

I feel they probably will. This rerelease is likely getting the most out of the mold while they can.

 

I've just noticed, from my own photos above, the one showing their rears, that the spoiler pieces at the bottom of each leg are different on the new version. They've added tabs to them, so they lock together. That's really interesting that they would iterate that area. I wonder if it will make much of a difference?

 

Yes, they announced this as one of the improvements.
