i was looking at the first page again, and wow... this has as much versatility as any of the MP ones, the leg cars can go front or back and also up or down. the arm cars can be show accurate where they are just hanging from the upper arm, or be the whole arm. the two head and shoulder sets. just wow.

That's the perfect size in my opinion. Funny, but for the size of the NA Megs in comparison with the MS Prime, it's like the 2 were reversed in this pic with Megs being just a hair shorter than Prime.

i do feel like they definitely borrowed heavily from DX9 with this bot. but hey i am sure the DX9 bot was worlds better than whatever kept them radio silent for all this time.

There are similarities, but that just may be because they’re working off the same base design. The Magic Square trailer on Motormaster doesn’t have the same proportion problems as DX9.

According to tfwiki, combiners were around 16m, while Megatron was 6m, so it is a bit too small.

But, why complain? It’s a perfectly good excuse for us cheapskates to skip straight to the OSKO!

that is mainly because they dont have to worry about the actual combiner being all inclusive in the trailer like DX9 did.

since this is legends MS can get away with all the heavy partsforming he does. while the DX9 bot is MP he is expected to have the hands and feet and all the mechanics for it built in.

In a couple years... IF DJD should still be on MFTs list.

Okay so I have completely come around on the whole Motormaster Trailer/Menasor Body thing. Used to bother me(A LOT), but now I just see it as the most obvious answer to all the questions. After all, War Giant had to Invent a trailer for Onslaught to use...

It does seem to me that a Double tractor-trailer-trailer configuration could have been conceived(and at MP scale it's TOTALLY plausible) to handle some of Capone's proportions issues, as the resulting frame is truly impressive. But this Magic Square version just seems a bit cleaner and better executed all around; almost like they took the same concept from DX9 and worked out all the oddities. The smaller scale here almost works in its favor to keep everything properly proportioned in all modes.

I have never been an enormous fan of the Stunticons, but I am increasingly more and more eager for this set... Specifically Motormaster and Drag Strip.

Do we know that though? I don't remember seeing if Motormaster is cab only or cab plus trailer, and where the frame comes from. I sort of like the idea of the frame coming from the trailer - that's how the original did it. I'm not all that concerned about whether or not that trailer also forms Motormaster, but it would be nice to know.

We know MST's Menasor's body is housed in Motormaster's trailer, and that Motormaster's bot mode is all in the truck cab.

With the swappable parts that enable the 3 different Menasors, we don't know if your preferred parts will store in the trailer.

Inching closer to release. Taobao sellers have begun advertising Motormaster pre-orders:

Does Taobao normally list things close to release time? I've never used it, but I feel like I remember seeing people asking about listings going up when FT releases were about to happen.

TB is like Asian Amazon. I don't know what their listing practices are, and can't really speculate on it.

I know ShowZ's had two of the limbs avail for PO for like a year, but no MM, so I thought this was a noteworthy thing to share.
Car Master (Motormaster) Overlord (MST's figure name) Flying Tiger (Stunticon) Combination (Combiner).
