My logic say, heat is gently with a hairdryer of heatgun but maybe someone already tried that offcourse.

I am sure it is safe for plastic. But I can't see how I would get it inside the joint without some spilling/overflowing outside of it. I am not a swiss watchmaker and these figures are small. Furthermore, as crazy tight as the peg is inside the arm, there is really no space for any kind of oil to penetrate into.

As for the hot water, it was hot water from the faucet. No hotter than what I do dishes in (yes ladies, I doez dishes). And I did not have to force it. I started off with just slight pressure, and it started moving almost instantly.

Hot water will slightly soften the plastic, making it more malleable. A hair dryer, and certainly a heat gun, runs the risk of melting the plastic if you are not extra, extra careful with the temp. Furthermore, the rate at which blowing hot air will transfer heat into the plastic could potentially cause the plastic to expand, exacerbating the problem instead of helping. Also, hot water will evenly and gradually transfer heat into the plastic. Forced air will be random and uneven, heating one side, while ambient air simultaneously cools it from the other side.

Regardless, hot water worked with no ill effects and completely solved the problem. Easier and less messy than oil. And cheaper since I did not have to buy anything.

The problem with Dead End isn't that the joints are tight, where lubricant might be the obvious answer; it's that for some of them (in my case it was wrists and bicep swivels), the hats of the mushroom pegs literally have extra plastic, they are not circular in shape. Some lubrication will probably help at least a little, but the optimal solution is to trim the mushroom peg hats a little so that they are closer to a circle in shape. Ideally you'd pop the mushroom pegs out to sand/trim them, but in my case at least they were too tight. I've heard that hair dryers soften plastic enough that you can pop out a tight mushroom joint, but I was too lazy for that, and just trimmed them "in place" with a small hobby knife. It wasn't ideal, but it worked OK enough for now.

That many orders, huh? Glad it's going well. I've got a little project I'm working on that I'm'a try to throw onto Etsy eventually when it's finished and your success is encouraging.

It's been insane. Since adding the Menasor stuff I got hit with over 200 orders. It's been great, but exhausting.

OMG, that lady opened a dispute against me and it was the funniest thing. After she posted photos of what I sent her Etsy closed it and were like "look, he sent you exactly what you ordered. Next time read."

The Menasor pieces from @NOCV works great! Thanks for the good work!

Motormaster replacement shell (just noticed the paint scratch on Dead End from this picture. Ugh!)

Kind of tempted to get another set of the limb bots so I can have Menasor and the Stunticon team displayed at the same time. But I don't really feel like blowing another $100 on toys I already have, and I don't really "display" my legends toys.

Heh. It's not that big a deal. It's a pretty simple project really - just a mini Sherman Dam for MST Op and Megs to hang out on. Wasn't really trying to be coy about a reveal - just didn't wanna' highjack the thread. I'd post about it in Radicons but you need something physical, not just a 3d render, and I haven't gotten to the point of printing it yet and I'm still trying to figure out how best to do some parts of it.

My car shells should be about $18/ea. They'll be coming up next.
Dio set pieces are brilliant. A crumbled Lincoln Memorial is on my list to make.

You could sell sections of the dam wall, that link together, so people could make it as wide a display as they like. Kinda like NA's Spacebridge sections. You could KO those sections too. I'd like some of those, but don't want those Seekers.

Cool! The only thing I'm worried about is that your printer might wear out from all the orders you're about to get and I'm going to miss out.:lol

I went for this set on a whim, and at the same time went from not caring about the character to being a fan, at least of MS' iteration of his G1 toy/OX form. Previously I had a love-hate relationship with the TFM version and skipped the DX9/XTB version because of all the issues with transformation, stability, etc. I was convinced that the original Menasor design itself is the biggest culprit as to why there are so many issues with the various 3P releases of him. And yet this MS version just rocks. There were some minor QC gripes like the toe covers being installed backwards, some joints being too loose that I had to tighten some screws, but the combiner itself is a real sight to behold. What a pretty thing, despite the matte-ish finish.

Might keep the TFM because it kind of fits with CHUG even though it's IDW, but I don't think I will ever get the DX9/XTB when this one is perfectly fine as a representation of a classic Menasor.

I feel quite bad as I haven't ordered anything yet.. sadly the postage costs to the UK are really high, which I know itsn't your fault @NOCV

Clearly I need to save more pennies...:lol :lol  Do you know if postage costs might be more economical by ordering more than 1 piece..? For instance waiting until you have the carbots as well and ordering everything in one hit?

Appreciate that will take you more time but would be more than happy to wait as long as needs be. :)
