lol...it is sooo bad it is kind of good.

im not a diehard toon guy for the very same reason you are. the animation errors are so bad and downright silly when you look back now.

but hey you did a thing man and i commend you on it. congrats on making that a real thing. you might even be the first guy on the planet who did that as well. so that is like 2 milestones in one pass....congrats

They remind me of the wooden cars we had as 3yr old kids but I do commend the work that got in to this.
Way beyond my thing, this 3d design and printing but my OCD tells me just to double up on limb bots and get the backfiller with smoke stacks.
That way Menasor looks great and the limbs look like the group carbots that will be standing in front of it.

One of my strongest TF memories as a kid was my friends and I always complaining that our toys did not look anything like the cartoon (not to mention the lack of articulation, but that's another matter entirely). So the fact that we are getting toon accurate toys now tickles the 10 year old inside me.

Nice! Really like the look of those forearm covers. Do they happen to be able to attach to Motormaster's trailer in vehicle mode somehow?
Also, the all-black chest and crotch on Menasor looks terrific. Did you remove the original paint and replace it with black paint?

Dead End and Drag Strip arrived today while I was enjoying my lunch :)

I restrained myself - I transformed them from car to bot, posed them, then left them for a couple of hours.

Then I came back and mashed them all together.

    Awesome...

No quality issues at all. The only quibbles I have are as follows:

Motormaster not having at least a simple peg to hold the back part in place in combined mode (and minimal pegging into the Menasor frame); mine isn't so loose that it will flop out of the back of Menasor's body, but it should have been pegged.

There's no way to move Dead End's hands out of the way when you want to bend the left arm, except for pivoting the whole upper arm out a bit on the armature. Unsatisfactory. And I've yet to use the built-in elbow mode, where you don't pull Dead End & Drag Strip apart - can't see how that'll be anything but worse with regard to the hands getting in the way.

Menasor's wrists aren't hinged. A small thing, but I'd very much like to be able to raise the sword properly.

Beyond that... worth every damned cent. Bring on the rest.

(oh, how about that, there are pics of very-nearly finished Constructicons doing the rounds...)

Jealous of all the final pics, wish I had stayed with TCP instead of gambling on Slow-Z because I'd have finished mine too by now instead of watching tracking that never moves.

Anyone else having an issue with dead end not wanting to go into car mode? It has a slight angle issue that i can't get the car to come together. It was fine before and now it's doing this.

Has to do with the direction of the Hands in car mode... I had that issue and it seems that flipping the Hands around so that the palms are facing away from the body solved it for me...

MotorMasterRoadWarrior.jpg This is what happens when I leave my figures out around my 5-year old.

Kind of hard to get mad at him for playing with Dad's figures when he comes up with such an AWESOME fan-mode!

How would you feel like designing hands for Menasor with spreading fingers, like Devy? Would that be possible, or would those parts be too small? Next to the extra faces you've designed, spreading fingers on his hands would make his display capabilities even more awesome. To me that would make him totally complete :)

Fixed mine by shaving a bit of plastic off the inside edges of the roof pegs. Your right one looks too far towards the middle of the car to go in the notch - I'd shave that a bit at a time and it will probably tab together nicely.
